Marvel comic characters tend to seem a bit more realistic and interesting vs the DC characters, but who in the Marvel universe do you favorite most either because of the films, their comics, or you just think that that guy or girl is a total badass.

Me, My favorite 3 are the X-men, Photon, and Power Packhttp://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/e/e9/PowerPack1.jpg

You probably don't know who power pack is they're old school. There used to be a cartoon for them back in the 80's. They really need to make this into a new film since right now everyone's reinventing all the old 80's cartoons into films like TMNT Transformers and I heard that GI Joe and Thundercats are getting moives too along with the Smurfs.

Photon is an underrated character, she's like the second only black female super hero in Marvel and she used to be in charge of the Avengers. The X-men cartoon back in the day was off the hook too. I think that the X-men has one of the best storylines in comics.

who's vulture?

I assume he means the Spiderman villain. Anyway, Wolverine is probably my favourite character from anything ever. Deadpool's alright as well.

Gambit is really badass.

Yes, but only recently when he rejoined Sinister and the Marauders and started killing X-Men. Before that he was a waste of dialogue bubbles.

Multiple Man. Hands down one of the best characters in Marvel, especially when written by Peter David. I'll toss in Spidey as written by J. Michael Straczynski, Ultimate Spidey in the hands of Brian Bendis, and all of the Astonishing X-Men written by Joss Whedon.

I would agree that Marvel characters tend to have more to them - Larry Hama, writer, did a lot to develop Wolverine's character for example. But the most original of them all was Steve Gerber's Howard the Duck.

Not only did Howard's sardonic character parody comic books themselves, he constantly pointed out the absurdities of humanity. Steve Gerber experimented as much as possible with the media form, and it's incredibly surprising that Marvel allowed it, because it's so creative you'd think it's self-published, unrecognized work. Gene Colan's surreal pencils top it off. I'd suggest getting Vol. 1 of the Essential Howard the Duck.
