View Full Version : How old is too old?

I'm just curious. How old does everyone think is "too old" to be on forums/chat rooms like this one? How old do you think is "too old" to be cool anymore? :greenie:

If they're done with school/college/education I think they might be a little too old for fora and stuff.

EDIT: Changed my mind, whenever you start thinking that babies are cute/adorable/you'd want one. (SHLUP)

I think the average age for EoFF members is something like 16, but I'm much older than that and I still post here. And yes, I am cool. :)

There is no such thing as being too old to be cool.

Unless your name is Joel, in which case the age is 29.

Sorry, dude. I don't make the rules.

There's no age limit to anything. Although since the average age of EoFF is 16, older members might not feel as inclined to be active in a community full of teenagers.

On another forum I visit, the average age is more like 35-40. I'm one of the youngest members there, while being one of the older members here. And I don't contribute as much to that other forum cause they're all so much older and wiser than me. Plus they talk about things like home insurance and I'm like, "whaa??" So yeah. :p

Definitely no limit. There are four guys over 100 years old that respond to people's questions in FHM, allowing their experienced advice to be passed on. Why disallow that kind of knowledge to the people of these forums?

Pfft, it's once you've finished education you become cool.
education is for saps!

You're never too old for anything, I am 22 and still like to put my foot in my mouth ^^

Age is just a number and your only as old as you feel. Life is short and I say do what makes you happy. It's a disgrace to withdrawal one's self from doing something you enjoy based on what others might think.

I'm probably one of the oldest members here. I'll be 31 soon and I've never felt better! I've been playing video games my entire life. It's something I'm passionate about and I'm not stopping for anyone. Lol!

Posting on forums is like playing video games when it comes to age. You're never to old to post! However, you can be too young to start posting. You don't see babies posting, do you? :3

I'm 22, but I'll probably stop trying to blend into the younger crowd well before I finish university. (I'll finish university at around 26/27 if all goes well).

I always threw around the idea of not teaching my children to write, just type; let the elementary school teachers teach them to use a pencil!

Hehe. I'm worried about that as well. I'm afraid I'll find the forum is full of kiddos fresh to highschool like I was with the Star Wars forum! :D Looks like I might be with people in my age range. For the record, I'm 20.

Haha true Rubah. I was unfortunately a playstationX short when it came out though. Sad story: I got my first PS2 when I was 19! Man, talk about latebloomer. It's kinda like smoking. Don't try it. Because once you do you're probably hooked for life. Hmmm... wonder if I'm allowed to mention smoking...

lol...I don't believe that was the answer to the question that was asked. :D C'mon Leeza, Yiazmat told her age , and mine is on my profile. I actually thought I was an elder here. Glad to see I'm not as elder as I thought.

No age limit.
How can you judge something like that?
I love coming here, and I will not stop. I've met so many friends here at EOFF, and I love helping people and reading their stories, looking at their art. It (figuratively) gave me life. I love coming here...

I was just trying to be funny. "In your mom's basement" .......still.....!? I actually have no room to talk. I lived with my parental units until I got married at the age of 24. Hey, I knew what I was doing. It substantially cut down on the bills! :D

No limit, though I think people in the "elderly" category of 70+ wouldn't really fit in very well with the general population.

Depends on whether they are "grumpy" elderly or "happy" elderly. I think at the very least a grump would be entertaining so I'm cool with it.

So my answer is Alzheimers, or Bleys

So, I take it that the majority of you don't really care about age as long as the aged don't act aged, or try way too hard to be young. The pic NeoTifa posted earlier would about sum that up, ya think?

Though I'd be ecstatic if a 90+ version of TTP became a member.
