I usually go up 2 at a time. Sometimes 3. And when I'm going down, I do one at a time.

I go up 2 to 3 at a time and I have become pretty good going down 2 at a time but it depends on the height and length of the stairs for going down.

Alternatively, if you feel like really messing your legs up, run up and escalator that is going down. The last step onto the floor above is fun. As are the annoyed stares of onlookers.

Definitely not true. People make stairs to look pretty, not to be easily walked on. Else all these short people wouldn't be complaining!

Depends on the size of the stair. But on what I know to be the norm, I take two at a time going up and one going down, although I sometimes take the last two or three at once.
