Favorite FF?

Just wandering what your favorite Final Fantasy game is? you can only pick one!

As much as I absolutely love 7, and love Sephiroth, I have to pick Final fantasy 10 as my all time favorite, simply because story really drew me in, and was actually able to affect me emotionally.

the REAL FF3 for DS, or FF3 for Snes? (FF6)

The real FF3 is awesome, I love the job changing! I had it once for DS, but I sold my DS to a friend, and the game along with it. I recently bought a new DS and the first game I got for it was FF6, a GBA game, but it works, so whatever. I plan on rebuying 3 tomorrow, as well as 1 and 2 Dawn of Souls for GBA. Hell, actually, if GameStop has it in I'll grab 4 too, even though I'm not really a "huge" 4 fan.

I just beat 6 tonight, got through the Dragons Den and all that, but now it's kind of getting boring already. I mean, it has replay value, they all do, but not right away. I'll put it away for a while while I focus on 1, 2, and 3, and then when those are beaten I'll probably replay through it.

The only reason I bought a DS was for the FF titles, and now I find out that PSP has FF titles of its own, not sure which ones or anything, but I'll just stick to the DS instead of selling out :)

10 has a great story

FF IX is probably my fave of all time. It was my first one to ever play, and the storyline and characters just drew me in so much. And I'm still amazed each time i watch the battle between Bahamut and Alexander. XD

X Is the best in my opinion, the story is much more involving than the others.
Very emotional, really yanks at ye olde heart strings.

Oh and FF tactics War of the lions is pretty awesome at the moment, liking this one very much!

I will say that FFVI's soundtrack beats the crap out of any in the series on a daily basis, but VII does have one of the best soundtracks in the series. Kudos to you for thinking so, since I've seen more than a few people on here crap all over it simply because the quality of the midi isn't what it was in the later games. I say great music is great music.

I think a lot of the more hardcore, 'true' Final Fantasy fans love FFIX. And they're the ones who are on the forums most (excluding FFVII, VIII and X fanboys)

The more I play FF1, the more I find myself wondering if it should be hard to pick between it and 7.

On the subject of soundtracks, people: FF soundtracks are truly awesome, but in comparison to Guilty Gear, fuck Final Fantasy. Fuck it up its predominantly synthesised ass. This only emphasises how much I love Guilty Gear music. FF music is very good.
