I'm running out of movies to watch because I've been procrastinating watching tv shows (Mythbusters, Twilight Zone). So now instead of obscure action films, I'd like to get some obscure or cult favorite movies.

Now 'Hackers' is by no means obscure. Unpopular outside of the cult following, but not obscure. I was thinking more like 964 Pinocchio (mature subject matter), or Tetsuo the Iron Man.

I have no idea what a movie has to do to become a "cult favorite" but you should definitely watch Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. You should also watch anything by Kurosawa.

Hmm, cult movies...

Germany's produced a few films that have gained cult status in the English-speaking world.

Metropolis, Deine fetten Jahren sind forbei, and Lola Rennt are definitely worth a look. In English, those last two are known as The Edukators and Run Lola Run, respectively.
