Do you ever feel like you drive/are driven to the same places so often that your car could possibly drive there on auto pilot? If so, where?

Because, I feel like I drive to school, work, the place where I get singing lessons, the mall, and Starbucks so often that it is programmed into my car. D:

I walk places that much. D: TJ's (Fast food joint near me), the dollar general, and college. The last one is 2 1/2 miles away from me. How dire. :(

Nice theme you two.

It's either my crappy memory, or the monotony, but I don't have any memory of me driving to and from work every day. It's that boring.

=(

I guess work, home and school would be the 3 main places that I feel 'should' be auto-piloted into my car,lol
Since its like i can almost do it with my eyes closed.....if there weren't any cars around that is :/

It's cute that you're just discovering this, you silly driving n00b.

I drive lots of places on auto-pilot. Sometimes my brain takes me to the wrong place though. :(

Not a chance, the roads around me are too dodgy, if I where to tune out for a bit I'd end up crashing into some old woman.

I've pretty much done that with any driving. I just kinda zone out for minute. I'm paying attention to my speed and other drivers, but that's about it. I'm really bad about it now, since I have such a long commute..

this reminds me of my old "driving with your eyes closed" thread.

I would never trust autopilot in Seattle. too many bikes and narrow roads and random bodies of water.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder if my car hates me for going down the same roads all the time. Maybe from taking all the same turns all the time, it's starting to wear out on one side faster than the other. Like a person that only works out one side of their body. :Oo:

I don't have a driver's license, so no :P I use public transport, but I guess that can be considered auto pilotic as well..

I do drive up the mountain to my house on auto pilot. I don't know if I could still do it from my school all the way to my house though.

(I reckoned that I have driven up to my house somewhere upwards of 450 times as a minimum. That's definitely enough to get some muscle memory going)

My driving test is in January, so I'll get back to you afterwards. :jess:

Yeah, I turn on my procedural memory for school almost every day.

I thought this thread would be about Rye's collection of Lazy Town YTMND's.

Interesting that you bring this up. I've gotten off at specific exits on the interstate where I wasn't intending to go. I always contributed it to because I get off at those exits so much that it doesn't take much though...or perhaps the car TOOK OVER.
