Kagome shattered Shikon no Tama with her arrow in chapter five, roughly eleven years ago. She, Inuyasha, Sango, Kirara, Miroku, and Shippou have been searching for its fragments for more than five hundred chapters. =O

Now it's whole again!

That's a page from the latest chapter of Inuyasha. In it, Naraku has Shikon no Tama under his control and will use it to buff himself for (hopefully) his final confrontation with Inu-ikkou and Sesshoumaru-sama!

I've mistaken many chapters for immediate precursors to the final battle between Naraku and Inu-ikkou, and the dissolution of Shikon no Tama, but this chapter really stands out; Kohaku finally lost his shard, and Kagome actually advanced to a new grade.

This is a thread about Inuyasha manga. Keh!

I have not read the latest yet but there have been so many times when you go 'This time' and it just keeps going somehow XD I wouldn't be surprised if there was something else left to do before they take down Naraku. Sure the jewel is whole again, Sesshoumaru seems to have gotten his final upgrade but Inuyasha could always use one more! He should be the one to take Naraku down and I don't think he has whatever power would be necessary to take down Naraku at this point or immobilize him enough for kagome to use her arrows.

I suspect Naraku running away again until he can unlock the full power of the jewel while Inuyasha gets another upgrade.

I bet Kikyo'll show up. And you use she's died as an excuse, it never stopped her before :p

That reminds me of how frustrated I was when, immediately after Kikyou's (most recent) death, Takahashi used a pathetic excuse to toss Kouga out of the story.

"I no longer have my shards! I'm not useful anymore! I'm retreating! Goodbye, Kagome!"

I know. Right after he finally started to use those bad ass claws and everything. He needed another power up! Like even faster speed from his ancestors XD

I dunno who is who or anything, but I bet the guy who couldn't find the shattered thing for 500 chapters will lose in a fight, if this person actually fights or does anything. I dunno what Inuyasha is about tbh, but if it takes you that long, you're probably not good at doing stuff well.

Rumiko Takahashi is incompetent, not her characters. D=

Not to mention, a magical jewel will be sought after by greedy demons and humans, obviously, who will create obstacles for Inu-ikkou in their quest to find every piece of it; that's the plot of Inuyasha.

I used to love Inuyasha, then I found out how long the series was and that I'd never be able to see it all. I prefer shorter series, now.

I long for the days when Takahashi knew how to end a story with dignity.

Cellphone preview for 531, courtesy of some random person on 2ch:

第531話 「邪気の雲海」 Chapter 531 "Jyaki no Unkai" (Cloud of Jyaki)

Naraku has used the power of the jewel and completed his transformation! The final battle to settle everything begins!

Note that "unkai" is actually "sea of clouds", but "Sea of Clouds of Jyaki" is too much of a mouthful. ^_^*

I watch the Anime, but... THERE'S JUST SO MANY FLIPPING EPISODES! I mean seriously, I just want to skip to the end now... unfortunately I can't read Japanese.

Naraku transformed into a giant spider; this was unexpected.
