In this month's update, there will be changes to the 2 hour abilty. Once you use it, it will last until you zone to another area. See here to see what else it will be included in the update

Wait. I don't understand. So I use benediction, everyone is cured and that's that. I don't see how something like benediction can LAST until someone zones. Does everyone just stay healed?

I can see how this change would be super useful for something like Astral Flow.

Why would you need to zone after you used a 2hour anyway?

Many reasons: Chainspell-Warp, Invincible/Perfect Dodge then RUN, Manafont - Warp/escape...o_O just a few on my head.

This doesnt help Astral Flow i dont see how it does..all it does is make it so you cant use it once you zone. Same for SAM 2Hr, or WAR 2hr, or anything that lasts.... you lose its effect. Slight nerf i think.

Benediction is obviously an instant use, and once used theres no duration.

If the two hour of Astral Flow lasts until a person zones, as long as they DON'T zone, wouldn't that means that Astral Flow would just keep going and going and going as opposed to only lasting 3 minutes?

I must be interpreting it wrong cause that just sounds outrageous. If I am interpreting it wrong, I don't really understand how this update on the 2 hour abilities changes anything.

A character’s 2-hour ability will now wear off when changing areas.

From official patch notes in the wiki. This only weakens a 2hr, it does not last forever as long as you dont zone. It only means that if you activate a 2hr that has a duration, and zone, you automatically lose it as opposed to keeping it til it wears off pre-patch.

Its a nerf.

Errr... and exactly how often do people actually want to use their 2 hour after they've zoned? Doesn't really seem like a necessary adjustment to me.

A rdm friend of mine used to chainspell teleport. He got up to 16 in a minute.

Also, the new window option is complete crap -- I'd rather stick with Windower even with the risk of being banned.

It does seem kind of unneccessary to me, I don't think anyone ever really wants to keep their 2hr's on after zoning and it never really lasts very long for it to be useful anyway so...
Just seems like a waste of time on SE's part lol

The only thing I could think of is the bst update which allows you to heal your pet at a noticeable rate. Familiar lasts 30 min on the mob, during which time it gets an HP boost (10%) and can't un-charm until the 2-hour wears off, but your pets don't zone with you so it's kinda pointless...
on top of that every other 2-hour lasts only 1 min or less (and some even instant) and the 2 new jobs' 2-hours also seem to fall into this category.

Might be something to do with the expansion? I guess we'll see.

Charmed creatures or Jug pets didn't zone before anyway so we were uneffected by this part of the update.

I don't see how but I heard it had something to do with using the 2hr right before fighting a BCNM or something along those lines.

What. You're allowed to use the 2hour in BCNMs anyway, so why would that change anything?
