To clear something up.

The majority of roles in play in this game can be found in the Mafia wiki, or the Mafia flash site. There are only a handful of roles which have specifically been created by Del Murder and I. Created as in, entirely new creations that we came up with ourselves. All other roles, or slight variations of roles can be found from the two linked Mafia sources.

The role of Mole is not one of the "official" roles of this game. That was just Del Murder being a trickster.

I will also say that this version of the game is not Bastard Mod Mafia, as much fun as that would have been.

Alrighty people, here's the deal.


We could start a whole new game. And by whole new game, I mean brand spankin' new, with entirely new roles in play. This would take some time to set up since we'd need to come up with new game formations, roles, etc.

Or we could keep the same roles and basic formation of the game, have new accounts for you guys but have everyone keep their current roles. So Pikachu would become Caterpie or something but Pikachu would carry on with whatever role they had previously. And with everyone keeping their current roles, we would start again from Day 1. This would allow the current game setup to play out without too much fuss.

OR, we could keep the current setup, but reassign the roles to different people, and start all over.


So far, the only thing that has been revealed is that there was a werewolf in this game. That revelation alone, I don't think is enough to say "screw it" and completely scrap the game since y'all don't even know for sure what that role was meant to do.

But I'm not sure. I don't really know which direction to take this.

I'm pissed off that I have to deal with this when I have to read like 200 pages of critical race theory by tomorrow. -_-

The problem is multiple people seem to be posting mistakingly outside of their accounts. Me and Levian have done this at least once each, and ed admitted to doing it. If me or levian did it, they would know what our role was right off the back.

I can't lie. Because I thought this whole thing was done and over with, with a total restart, I have found out a it about the werewolf role. I admit I don't know the whole score or if there is a second faction outside of werewolfs(vampires maybe?) but I don't think reassigning roles will solve the problem. No doubt by now people have started to talk as well.

I vote we have to do a total restart because if you reassign roles then people still have knowledge of their previous role and other pieces start to fall into play and are looking for these new roles that have been created.

I think we need to start over again. It is known through Pyro's slowpoke posts that there are three werewolves. His cheating ruined that game, may it be destroyed and forgotten. We should even redo the whole entry thing, and restart tis an a few days.

A lot more has been revealed, really. Since Pyro logged into everyone's accounts and that includes getting into the mafia forum, I think it's been revealed that there's only a werewolf faction, there's 3 members in the faction, and the remaining members were Meowth and Kadabra. Pyro was pretty convinced that once Meowth and Kadabra were lynched, the game would be over. Even if that's not the case, that's what everyone's going to think now.

I'd rather not go back to the initial roles in a different name, for obvious reasons. I doubt things will play out the same way the second time. Some people's posting styles are pretty evident, too. I'm sure I can figure out who Psyduck is as soon as he makes a post and then will already have a good idea of his character's guilt/innocence. Meowth, for example, also has a pretty obvious posting style and so does Geodude and Vulpix. I'm sure people will be able to figure them out quickly enough and assign them credibility based on who they think they were last time around.

I don't think I have the energy or dedication to do it all over again either, or at least do it over seriously, and I'm sure it'd be a pain in the ass for you guys to plan it all over again. So bottom line is I don't know. :P You guys decide while I'm back to writing my 6-7 page paper that I haven't started yet and have been trying to start all day.

Role Explanations


Citizen! Your job in this game is to find and lynch all the murderous villains who are preying upon the innocent citizens of the town. The citizens win the game when all the villains are dead.


Tracker! As the tracker, you have the ability to choose any one character to track and follow each night. By following their movements, you can find out who (if anyone) they are targeting during the night. Use this ability to help the town win against the Villainous Scum who are preying upon the innocent citizens. Keep in mind, if it is revealed to you that PersonA is targeting PersonB, this only confirms that PersonA has a night time activity. It does not automatically mean that PersonA is Mafia. They could very well be on the town's side as well. Use your own judgment on how to interpret the information you gather.

You win if the Townies are the last ones standing at the end.


Doctor! As the Doctor, you have the ability to protect one character every night. Your job is to try and predict who the bad guys might target during the night and protect that person. Keep in mind that sometimes the Villains will try and kill the biggest threat, and sometimes they will simply try and kill off someone who they do not believe is protected. So do your best to thwart their evil nighttime activities.

PM me the name of the person you would like to save during the night and that person will hopefully be saved. You may protect yourself if you believe you are in danger.

You win if the town manages to survive and defeat the murderous scum who prey upon the citizens.


Angel! As the Angel, you have the ability to protect one character every night. Your job is to try and predict who the bad guys might target during the night and protect that person. Do your best to thwart their evil nighttime activities.

There will be no specification on the exact nature of a person's role, just whether they are good or bad). With your powers, do your best to guide and aid the citizens of the town. Goodluck!


Backup Cop. Your role is activated should the primary cop be murdered or lynched during the game. Should your role become activated, you will take over the full duties and responsibilities of the cop. This means that each night, you can investigate one player and find out if their alignment is TOWN or SCUM. You will not be informed of their specific roles, only which side they fall on. Use this information to help guide the townies to victory.

Until your role becomes activated (and it may not if the primary cop survives throughout the game), your role is to be a citizen and help the town lynch the bad guys.

You win if the town manages to survive and defeat the murderous scum who are preying upon the innocent citizens.


Piemaker! As the Piemaker, you have the ability (at any point in the game) to bring a dead character back to life. The catch is that in exchange for this person's life, another player must die. The person who dies in the exchange will be completely random and you are also at risk of being sacrificed during this exchange as are the bad guys.

Use your ability carefully (and at the right time in the game) to bring back a critical role to help the Town win against the Villainous scum that prey upon the citizens. It is up to you to decide who is worth bringing back, and to weight that against who might possibly die instead. You can only bring back those who were murdered, not those who were lynched.

You win if the town is victorious.


Mafia! You are a member of the Mafia faction. Along with your fellow Mafia members, you must decide upon one person each night to gun down and kill. The goal of the Mafia is to eliminate all other characters in the game. Mafia wins when they are the last ones standing.


Mafia Godfather! You are the head of the Mafia faction. Along with your fellow Mafia members, you must decide upon one person each night to gun down and kill. The goal of the Mafia is to eliminate all other characters in the game. Mafia wins when they are the last ones standing.

As the Godfather, you have the special ability to hide your identity from the Cops. When a cop investigates you, you will be identified as TOWN rather than SCUM.


Werewolf. You are aligned with Werewolf faction of this game. Each night, you along with your fellow werewolves must decide upon one character to attack and brutally shred into bloody little pieces.

You win the game if the Werewolves manage to be the last ones standing.



Contagious Werewolf. You are aligned with Werewolf faction of this game. Each night, you along with your fellow werewolves must decide upon one character to attack and brutally shred into bloody little pieces.

As the Contagious Werewolf you have the ability to, at any point in the game, choose any other character in the game to bite and turn into another Werewolf. You can only use this ability once, so use your own judgment on who to bite and when to bite them.

1) If the CW decides to convert someone on a given night, that "bite" will take the place of a kill. So you can either kill, or bite, not both on a single night.

2) Certain power roles are immune from the CW's bite. However, if you try and bite someone who is immune, you will be given a chance to bite someone else. So when you decide to use this ability, be sure to have a backup in mind, should the first bite not stick.

Doctor protects Psyduck
Angel protects herself (Geodude)
Mafia puts a hit out on Psyduck

I was so happy with the setup for this round, it was soooo much fun watching the two rival fractions talk amongst themselves in their respective forums. I had a feeling that the two sides would kill each other off before the Townie's got to do anything. Dunno how we're gonna top the game formation for next time, but we'll try to make it just as interesting. If this were real life, and not the internet, I would have given Pryoassface a swift hard kick to the balls. No joke.

Looks like I was right when I was actually on the town side. I was gonna go for Slowpoke because his arguing made him seem too aggressive, but after I became a werewolf I was more on the defensive and drawing attention away from Kadabra. When I saw everyone was following Slowpoke, I tried to point them toward Squirtle instead.

1) The two parties can very likely kill eachother of.

2) Townies have ways to protect themsevles with the Doctors and Angels, Killing Factions do not.

3) Townies also have the Cop and Tracker to figure out what goes on at nigh.

4) Even with both factions combined, there are still more townies.

Perhaps in the next game, we should use our regular accounts during play, for the following reasons:

1. It should be much harder to hack into other people's accounts, as every player makes passwords differently, in their own way. If we all have passwords relating to the same thing, and provide clues in our Avatars and Names, then that's just asking to get haxored.

2. We won't find as many Account Accidents going about, such as my posting as Kentarou when I suspected Clefairy, and many other incidents, perhaps even leading into threads besides the Game Thread.

3. I'll be able to use my awesomesauce Squirtle Signature during play. :3

A. First day Butterfree is taken down, Good for our mafia.
B. First night I wanted to kill Vulpix, but Slowpoke wouldn't go for that (because by that point he had cheated and knew Meowth was in the other mob), and I had to settle with Psyduck because to me it appeared that the only thing that we agreed on was the back up cop needed to be killed.
We would've been even with the other mob by that point even without Slowpoke.

The reason we thought BSG would work so well was because the ENTIRE plot of BSG involves trying to figure out who the Cylons (mafia) are and trying to kill the Cylons before the Cylons kill the humans (citizens). Cylons of course, want nothing less than the annihilation of the entire human race.

On top of that you have Cylons who want to help the humans (Mafia usurper), a scientist who is helping the cylons (traitor) a President who can see into the future (Seer or Doctor), and a Commander who is in charge of the safety of the human race (cop).

It works very well for Mafia.

But we don't have to use it cause you all suck and are missing one of the greatest shows in recent TV history.

Yeah, we'd have to be careful with roles because some of them could get really obvious or cause confuddlement.
