Cecil. Nothing beats a protagonist who gets over the angst after the first boss and does something productive for the rest of the game.

I like Bartz alot as he's very well rounded as a main character. Vaan is also one of my faves because the game takes place at an important part of his passage into adulthood, and it made for a good game. And of course there's Cloud.

Yuna was a leader devoted to helping her people, and that included using common sense when the method she was going to rely upon proved to be not only fatal but useless. plus I think she's really cute in ffx, especially alone in the via purifico.

And ffx's story does center on her, so I think she's just as main a character as tidus, you just don't see her thoughts until x-2
