If u could have a team of 4 characters, what final fantasy characters from any final fantasy game would u choose. State if u would use them for their attack,speed,magic etc. I would use

Ingus-he's so cool don't know why but he is. Especially as a Red Mage.
Cloud- Favorite FF character of all time. Plus he's pretty much strenght.
Yuna- She is great with summons. Plus she knows white magic.
Locke- Just for the speed he could steal from other players.

Rydia - BLK. Magic plus summons equals the dead enemies.
Leila - She's fast and hits hard
Celes - Duel Weild Ultima Weapons
Cait Sith - You can't have a Magical Girl squad without a mascot.

This is pretty difficult.

Quistis- Second in Command of the Team. Useful magics and strong leadership skills.
Garnet- White Magic and Summons.
Rydia- Black Magic and a backup Summoner.
Beatrix- Leader of the Team. She'd take down the magic resistant enemies and defend the casters. Plus if Garnet fell she could cast White Magic. Also has powerful Sword Techniques.

So, yep, my Ultimate team.

Beatrix: Female paladins rule and make awesome leaders.
Quistis: Blue magic+whips=win!
Rydia: Black magic+summons+whips=doublewin!
Fran: She's versatile. Plus, bunny ears=win too!
Edgar: Chainsaw. 'Nuff said.

Yuffie- Excellent spy and thief, plus her limit breaks rock on high level. Wonderful weaponry. Pinwheel? Oh yes.

Penelo- Amazingly good with White Magic, and I totally adore her. Equip her with either a katana or staff and I'm set. <3

Rydia- On like, every list, but she's a versatile nuker. Summons AND Black Magic. Plus, I have to have someone with a whip.

The last member's a tie between:

Paine- I'm probably going to get hit in the face for that last one, but I truly loved her in FFX-2. Powerful and obviously a damage dealer.

and

Tifa- DAMAGE DEALER. Her Limit Break made for awesomeness and a lot of foul, explicit language coming from my mouth. In Advent Children, she SO pwned Loz.

Selphie- fave ff character, her limit break is pretty awesome too I think. Especially The End.
Vivi- also my favourite, good black magery skills.
FFX Yuna- White Magic and Summons. Sounds good to me.
Cloud- leader of the party, has good limit breaks and a lot of strength. And a big sword.:D

Seeing as I can't decide, I'd pick my team by playing through any one official translation of each game until a main character said the word "solid" in absolutely any context for dinner. Then I'd pick my favourite four and make them my parter for dinner.

Cid (FFIV), Cid (FFVII), Cid (FFTA) and Cid the Frog (FFIX). Might be a bit difficult to organise in terms of who should be doing what, but I'm sure we'd manage!

In all seriousness, I think I'd like Beatrix, Freya, Rosa and Rydia. Rosa can deal with healing, as can Beatrix in a pinch. Freya, Rydia and Beatrix can all deal the damage and I think it'd be pretty well covered. No particular reason for an all-female squad, just worked out that way :p
