Ok, I'm not a great photographer or stuff, I only have a camera phone after all, and you can't take pictures of moving things because they come out all blurry. T_T
But once in a while, I come up with something I'm pretty satisfied with, maybe not because it's particularly artsy, but because it's very clear, or it has pretty colors or lights, or it represents something I love.
So let the fun begin! Constructive criticism a go-go! (which means, if you have any tips on how to make better photos with a camera phone, please be nice and share! ^_^)

Excellent camera. The pictures are nice, but don't go beyond that to strike any certain emotions from me. The third is probably the nicest IMO, but all possess great colour.

Good work for starting off with. :)

Yay! I got a Canon camera for Christmas! Now I can start making some decent pics for real... at least I hope so. I still cannot use it well because iit's got a lot of setting and stuff and the user manual doesn't explain them at all... but now I can take pics of the sunrise! I was never able to do that before. Happy happy joy joy!

If anyone who's got a digital camera and/or uses Photoshop wants to give me suggestions, I'll be extremely grateful to him/her. Pretty please?

Good call on the Canon camera, in my opinion the canon has the best focus out of any of the mid range cameras and its hard to beat without spending a ton of money. One thing about Canon cameras is that they have a tendency to tinge things slightly yellow so you need to be careful with your lighting.

Cool pictures.

Really great pictures all of them but the first one lack a bit colours i think... You ever use photoshop to make the photos looks better cause you got the skills to take good photos.

This is what i did in 2 min by just adjusting some slider and it just shows how powerfull a tool photoshop is.

Yeah, the difference is clear... maybe you've added a little too much contrast, but I can see what you mean.

They're all good, but I like the third one the best. It's different.

I like your later photos, the first mountain shot in particular is breathtaking.

The advice I can give is very little, but what I want to say to all aspiring photographers is to not fall into the trap of trying to make your photos look "like the ones I saw on the net" or stuff like that. There are tons of tutorials on "How to make your photos look stunning" or "How to get good shots" when the most important thing is, in my opinion, to follow your own path: try new things, experiment, find what you are comfortable with and either stick with it or continue experimenting. Take photos like you want to, don't just go out snapping sunsets and increasing the contrast in Photoshop, unless that's exactly what you like doing. There are no set rules for how to take "good" photos.

I know I sound cheesy. :hat:

The one I had was too blue. I took it back and got a Sony Alpha. Best decision I ever made.

If you used the laevels slider, you should always use auto levels first, it gives you far better results.

I would disagree. I find that auto-level has much more of a tendency to screw stuff up. You can get it just how you like it if you mess with each channel individually.

What I really like about this thread is that you can see Kohttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifar developing. Keep it up!

Where did you take the ones of the mountains?

It was March 2008 and I was going from Zurich to Treviso (Italy) by plane. These are the Alps somewhere around the border. The plane window was dirty and made a lot of distortion, so I'm glad I was able to take some good pictures.
