(Ciddies Winner Revelations Thread)

Hello ladies and gentleman, good morning, good afternoon and good evening to you all and welcome to the official winner revelations thread for the, er, Fredula Novalations... Celebra... okay, the Ciddies Winner Revelations Thread! These Ciddies have been brought to you by various sponsors including the Ciddies Committee, Eyes on Final Fantasy Forums and Chatroom Community, The Cookie Monster Smilie and A Picture Of A Turkey Hitting A Dog. We may not have had our best run with regards to participation throughout, but we did break the record for most nominations and more than likely smashed the record for the number of tie-breakers required to get rid of all ties. A massive thankyou to everyone who got involved.

I'll be your host for this thread, meaning that the thread will be extremely lengthy - at an estimate, it'll take about 12 or more hours to get through all the Ciddies (and Highwind Awards). With the help of all of my many volunteer presenters - hopefully including those that are scribbling down notes at the moment rather ominously - I hope that we can keep you entertained and bring in a crowd of posters to the thread - I'm relying on you guys to post your thoughts as things go on. I refuse to double post, so if you guys aren't posting, I won't be either! No double posting should be done by you lot, either... so don't get too spammy, okay? ;)

The Ciddies will be revealed in reverse order from #50 to #1. In the first post for each Ciddie, I'll be giving you a bit of detail as to who won the award last time, who was the leading nominee (by amount of nominations) and who our Ciddies Prediction Party members predicted to win - a big thanks to all 15 of them for providing their thoughts to help make things interesting. After that post, the presenter will give a short or long speech - there will be a variety of them - and then I will reveal "Those that didn't make it", leaving just 2-4 members with the possibility of winning. After that, the winner will be announced... that means at least four posts for every Ciddie! You can imagine just how long this thing can end up being. :D

Along with the Ciddies will be the Highwind Awards - one for Forums Staff and one for Site Staff. The unique thing about these awards is that they are voted on purely by the staff associated with them, and I'm sure the winners will take great pride in receiving them. These are in acknowledgement of the fact that a lot of the work done by the staff of EoFF is not seen by the general public, and only the staff can give a fully informed opinion on how well their peers are doing overall.

Now, one last thing - this will probably take me a hell of a long time, so there will be breaks throughout the thread where we can all go and eat, drink, sleep, that sort of thing. Well, I'm hoping it won't come to needing to take a break to sleep, but you never know - it's happened before, and I am running late! So please bear with me as the last four or so hours I've spent awake have been non-stop work on getting this stuff ready for you all.

This speech was quite a ripoff of last December's one (which in turn was quite a ripoff of December 2005's speech...), which I apologise for, but I was running out of time after typing up the tally and sorting out all the speeches!

Ladies, Gentlemen, Quinas, get your hands out of your pants, because it's time for the Ciddies! The first award in this peachy ceremony is Most Likely To Get Together! I specifically requested to write this speech because the idea of EoFF members pitching woo to each other makes my little toes tingle with excitement! Oooooh! :bigsmile:

Our first prospective couple is the two lovely asian ladies, 41-Inches-Wide & Jojee. I can tell you right here from, ahem, personal experience that Aicha draws naked caricatures very well, and this may well be how she charmed Jojo. And just imagine how the two of them could charm EoFF? Two cute asian girls dating? It would make the teenage male weeaboo briefs drop. ;D ;D Woooo-hoooo~

The next prospective couple: Bun Bun & I'm my own MILF. Rye likes where this is going. ;D ;D I can just see it now, like a yaoi school boy manga series. Resha: The mating rituals of the Pooja have been examined by various zoologists. One could say that the vagarious ways in which she claims her mate are a bit outlandish, but no one can resist her beautifully brown skin and her wonderfully ivy tusks. Can her tusks woo the voters?

Roto13: His long, flowing, warthog mane is long gone but that doesn’t stop him from making it in the finals. You see, he has that little extra something. Perhaps, it’s because he’s Canadian. And generalists say Canadians love bacon. As everyone should know, bacon is only good when it comes from delicious pork. Will his love for his fellow porkies make him victorious?

Ah, the superhero. Some of them are born with their powers and others work to get them. Then there's the people who fall into a vat of boiling chemicals and come out with powers instead of dying. Freeloaders. No matter how they got their powers, being a superhero isn't easy. Sometimes when your Mom does your laundry she forgets you don't like it when she irons your cape. You know ironed capes just don't flow with the wind, <i>Mom</i>. Sometimes you get stuck with a crappy Arch-Villian. I mean, who really wants to fight The Bacon Bandit again and again? Then sometimes you forget to change out of your costume before you go to see your girlfriend and she demands to know if you've been at some kind of freaky orgy for the past seven hours. Yes, the life of the superhero is about much more than posing for pictures and getting your own comic book. Imagine a situation where the whole world is put into danger. A situation that could mean the end of everything. A meteor isn't about to hit the Earth. Beam Ray guns aren't about to cause volcanoes all over the planet to erupt at once causing plates to shift and turning everything not covered by lava into a mountainous wonderland. This is a situation so horrible, something so ridiculous, that only one of Earth's many superheroes can save it, and the only way they can is by using a rubber band and a carton of milk. Great! Now I'm going to miss out on the season's finale of Dawson's Creek.

And now after all the whohar of the previous awards it's time we moved onto Ciddie number 45, Member Most Likely to Steal the Opening Title Credits on WInning Their First Ciddie from Baloki. As Raistlin would say, back in the good old days, before the Highwind became the crazy place we know as Eyes on Final Fantasy, a Ciddie was more then just for Christmas, a member was voted for due to their contribution to the forum as a whole, not just because they might win a Ciddie for the very first time. Back then there were no first times, they were hard times. The internet was slow to load, RSL's beard was still the most popular member of the forums and most importantly everything was expressed through the means of interpretive stick figures. So in honour of this, the following buildup for this Ciddie will be done in just that manner, and here my friends is the story of MLT 45 of Christmas Past:
