I think Anne Bancroft was quite beautiful. I just saw the move "The Graduate", and I fell in love with her.

Also, Audrey Hepburn:

I think that all of the old-time actresses are far more beautiful than actresses now. Marilyn Monroe is probably one of the most beautiful woman who ever existed. :3

It's not that long ago admittedly (not in comparison to the likes of Monroe and Anne Bancroft anyway) but Diane Keaton in Annie Hall is especially gorgeous.

Going back further, probably Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca.

It's really just unfair to try and compare any actress in history's looks with Audrey Hepburn.

I never got what was so big about Monroe actually. And yes, Audry is quite gorgeous.

Max Schrek is the winner here, clearly.

Pretty much, yeah. Monroe was alright, not that great though. But Audrey Hepburn was sooooo stunning.

I think Grace Kelly was a much more beautiful blond than Monroe was.

I don't find actresses attractive if I wasn't even an egg when they were famous.

Rita Hayworth, Sophia Loren, Jayne Mansfield, Greta Garbo and Joan Crawford...:)

Maybe it is a little unfair to compare the quirky Audrey to the rest of the bunch. But I love Anne Bancroft. :D

I think that Judy Garland was beautiful. She had that cute ginger thing going on. :3

There's probably many more but I don't have the names. Women really had a certain classiness that they don't today. Not to say the repressive atmosphere was justified or anything but women back at this time had an incredible respect for themselves. Well, most of them.

Lauren Bacall and Marilyn Monroe. I can't believe how many of you are saying Monroe isn't the bees knees.

Well, she really isn't. =/

I can think of a lot of ladies past and present who are prettier than her. The best part about Marilyn Monroe is her body, not so much her face.

Seconded. Marilyn was epic modern personification of classical goddesses of beauty.

Milf, I think we should stop seeing each other.

It just isn't working out.
