Commercials these days really suck.

What's your least favorite type of commercial?
I hate the ones that have something that has nothing to do with what their advertising, and then flashes the name of their product at the end.

Drug commercials that never actually mention what the drug is for. They just show a bunch of old people or women just running around and having fun and then say "Ask your doctor if teemocil is right for you."

I dont know about the ones i hate the most but those commercials that advertise shows that try to pull off that "Mysterious new show, we wont tell you what its about you'll just have to watch" crap. Just tell us what the show is about without revealing too much, how can you screw that up?

Also the ones that take some form of national folk song and use it to promote where theyre made or use some other traditional song (like a christmas carol or something) to show how they care or whatever. It's rather degrading

I seriously can't stand the 'Holidays are coming' Coke advert. It should burn in hell, along with any radio commercial played on Lincs FM. :mad2: Especially the one were a male voice sings along (very badly) to the tune of 'Jingle Bells' about his Christmas shopping woes. I've always disliked ones that have all these cool flashy special effects and seem like they're for some sweet sci-fi movie or video game or something, but turn out just to be for a car. I guess it's just the little kid in me wanting it to be something cooler. I hate perfume adverts, not as pieces of art, but on principle. Advertising something to be smelt on television bugs me. Having a wo/man with a sultry european accent whisper the name of the perfume while there are a few shots of models and/or rose petals in slow motion tinted a colour that fits the perfume and/or gender of the target audience DOESN'T TELL YOU WHETHER IT'S A GOOD PERFUME OR NOT.
