I think the CK's and Admins are getting too strict these days, not gonna name any names, but I'm just looking to see who agrees with me on this or not. :)

Do you think EOFF is too disciplined? Or is it well disciplined? Or do you just not care...?

No, we're still allowed name changes. Mods here are generally fair compared to other places I've been. Vincent can say I'm sucking up, but I can say he's just trying to be rebellious. I bet you can't name more then three times when something they did was wrong, that isn't just nitpicking in the past year.

I think it's perfectly well disciplined. It might seem kind of harsh to some, but you need that, you know? We're mainly fairly civil to each other because we know where to stop. That's what the forae should be like.

Seriously, some threads get closed for no reason, my drugs thread was harmless, but I was inspired by ITV news on channel 3, they were talking about a new substance called: Subutex; not for kids! :p

And now the truth comes out. I don't think EoFF can condone any thread about "The Best Drugs" and still be considered family friendly :p

If you want to talk about drugs, then go to a drug forum. There's probably one of those on the internet somewhere. Obviously staff on a family oriented forum won't tolerant that. C'mon now.

If anything were to be done something like a "advisory contents" forum or something could be added that required request to be able to see it. This place is all about the community though so making something like that might not go over.

I think most of the rules here are pretty tolerable. The only thing that I find rather pointless is the swear filter. I don't have any innate desire to cuss or anything, I just don't see the point of censoring it on a fan site for a series primarily aimed at teenagers anyway.

Also the signatures here are too large and colorful. The rules should be changed to only allow 150x100 signatures with 3 colors max.

I'll have you know that I take my staff position at Fool's Gold very seriously and am a firm but fair staff member! - Heath (circa 2004)

In all seriousness, I wouldn't say the EoFF is overly strict. It's probably the strictest board I've posted at, but that's not saying terribly much. I think most of the members know what's expected of them and so keep to the rules 80% of the time anyway, more than the rules being actively enforced upon us by staff members.

The google ads we used to run (we don't now, do we?) stipulated that we could not have certain swears on the forums. I don't think they're very appropriate myself either!
