I got the only phone my company would give me with a two year contract. I just want to be able to make calls. Though the camera is nice for taking pictures of the crazy stuff I see every day living downtown. :P

N95 is an overall winner. The SatNav is a useful feature installed in it.

I have a Nokia N70 -- I was due an upgrade about 8 months ago but I haven't got round to it yet. I'll probably get a Nokia N95 because I need a Sat Nav aswell because I have no sense of direction whatsoever. :jess:

Yeah, my brother has it too. :)

I would get something else but I've mostly had Nokias and every phone that I've had that wasn't a Nokia I haven't liked it/it's broken. :jess:

I never used to know anything about phones but this year I worked for Marsh (O2 Insurance) and learnt about all the phones.

I didn't like that one.

Anyway, I have a piece of crap called Nokia 6070 (http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4221011). It's not good, i only bought it because i broke my previous phone a year ago and needed a new, but I was broke. I've got it in silver, though you can't select that colour on the web site.

While the one I want now is by no means top of the line, it's got all the features that I need in a phone, and it looks good. It's the Nokia 6233 (http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4221208). It looks a *bit* similar, but it's infinitely much better. I will also be getting it in black.

I rarely use my cell phone, and when I do it's just for the occasional call, so I have a simpler phone that's over 2 years old now:

I think certain manufacturers get contracted with carriers for particular phones. There's a lot of phones models that are offered exclusively through certain carriers. Of course there's probably ways around that, just not anything the average Joe would bother with.

My current phone is a Motorola something? It has a camera, but it's terrible quality, and the screen is really small and washed out. The screen was broken for a while (it would light up, but wouldn't display anything but black) so I was going to get a new one, but I don't know anymore. My mom said something about my contract being up this month so maybe I'll get one with a nicer screen. Most phone's bells and whistles don't concern me too much though.

I have a samsung 645 or something. It's a clamshell with a nice screen but little else. I can't even download midis for ringtones :( or probably anything else! It has very little memory because I have to clear my texts every few days. I couldn't imagine being someone who would have to clear it daily, maybe multiple times. (its like 25 in the inbox and 50 in the outbox)

I really cannot remember anymore, it's like 4 years old now and I never have credit on it. Ive dropped it so many times (I dropped it today aswell, hah) that it now just turns off whenever it feels like. It doesnt even hold music or record a video, it's THAT old. Oh, it's a Sagem myV65.

Mine has a two colour screen. :)

edit: checking my facts, it's actually a backlight display, a "one colour screen".

Mine came free with the plan. It's a Nokia 5300. Nice little phone. I can make phone calls, listen to music, and put a lot of my own crap on it, so that makes me happy. Though all I ever do is text anyway. The buttons are a nice upraised style and are really nice for "touch-texting". My only complaint is that, being a slider phone, the screen is always exposed and gets dirty.

I have a Samsung PM-A840 Sprint phone which is durable. The service works in areas with alot of wires which is very nice. And I have a Motorala Razor. It sucks because Verizon is a horrible company. They break easily as well, but I got mine for free so I don't care.

My current phone... I don't even have a clue what it is. It's an LG, but that's all I really know about it. It's reliable though, and can take a major beating.

However, I'm getting a new phone when my contract expires in February (I got my current phone for my 16th birthday), and I wanna get that Samsung one that can open 2 ways, up and down and left and right. The name escapes me. Someone my dad works with was showing it off one day and I fell in love with it. However, I heard that they're super-fragile, so I gotta be careful with it...

Motorola makes really great phones. Nokia is...ok...I guess.
I -personally- hate sony phones, they look nice, have nice buttons and schemes, but I haven't seen anything good about them. Save the camera, ofcourse.

I have the Motorola KRZR and it's a piece of crap.

Seriously, such a bad phone, worst one I've had in my life (I've had 3 cell phones prior to this one). Piece of junk.

I want to get a Helio somewhere down the line. Or maybe even an iPhone if they fix all the problems with it.

I'm not particularly fond of Motorolas. Everyone has one and their interfaces are generic. I'm pretty set on a smartphone as my next wireless device. I respect Nokia for supporting a relatively open platform.

Before I got my current phone I had some clamshell Sharp phone on Vodafone. No idea which one it was but the reason I replaced it was because the volume down button was stuck down. That meant that if I wanted to make a call, I had to constantly hold down the volume up button. It wasn't a terribly good phone so I decided to get a new one for my birthday. Didn't like the others on offer and I'm certainly not a fan of RAZRs or whatever. I like my phone because what I thought were generally superfluous features (radio, mp3 player, camera, light, etc), I've managed to find uses for. I think I'd buy another Sony Ericsson one because I've liked this one though I see me using this one for a long time before I get a new one (I bought it in March and my previous phone lasted three years or so). Another plus about the phone is that it's on O2 rather than Vodafone who are a really bad network to be on.

A friend of mine has one and she's pretty much the worst person to own a cellphone. It's been dropped out of 3rd story windows, fallen into puddles of mud and it's still working. I think you should be okay.

That's so weird that I love mine and you hate yours. Do you have the original KRZR or do you have the K1m? I have the K1m. Maybe that's the difference.

I have a newer version of the Motorola RAZR. It plays MIDIs that I listen to on my computer anywhere, so I love it a lot and I will probably get a new phone in early 2009 or so.

Yeha Motos are very much the same I agree with you on that and the Nokia does have a wide variety of styles, which is nice.

Some kind of low-end Motorola. It makes phone calls, text messages, and functions as an alarm clock. At least, that's what I use it for. It does other stuff too. I think I get a new one in April or something.

also, I own an LG Fusic, which looks like: http://www.phonedog.com/r/c/7130-3720-167-175-250x275.jpg
