can someone help me am at the part were squalls in space and is trying to catch riona and he has about 1min n a half to do it i have tried evreything and nothing is working av moved squall to the lower left hand screen to catch her but the time runs out and nothing happens

no no.. just keep her in the middle of the screen.. it will only work if you keep her the center of the screen

Hold triangle and do it. Triangle increases the speed of the screen moving. Just make sure she is in the middle of the screen when the time runs out.

I always just held right and it worked. Never used triangle. That part is stupid, it doesnt even explain the controls

You know, I didn't even know it was possible to lose her in space before I signed up for this forum and saw that people couldn't not lose her. I never even try at that part. I just smurf around till the time's up and get her every time.

So yeah. My advice is to not try. You'll get her.

Its officially the worst minigame in the world.


I remember struggling to do it, pressing the wrong option and getting game over and then having to start again and watch a whole pile of loooooong cutscenes over again. It was at that point that I started hating FFVIII.

Until it got good again at Ultimecia's castle.
