Do you like garlands, lights, candles, or candy canes? Bows or ribbons, or bells or balls? Little stockings, glass wreaths, kindergarten crafts, or floaty flecey angels?

Or do you like the star on top (which we can never put on our real trees because there's nothing to support it:()

Or something else?

Like popcorn.

Whatever isn't broken goes on the tree.

Happy Meal toys.

Okay, honestly, the stuffy ones my mom made when I was a baby so I couldn't break them.

My absolute favourite is a little wooden soldier. It's so cute. I'll take a picture when we have the tree. (We're cutting it close!)

We have so many ornaments, probably over 100.

My favorite from when I was a little girl was this little red bicycle. It was very realistic. It was one of our first ornaments as a family. :3

Last year, my family waited til the morning of Christmas Eve to put the tree up.

I suppose it doesn't help that I hid the tree.

Bah Humbug.

The star that goes on the top and the lights because Christmas trees don't look as "eeeee" without them. :jess:

Chocolates, because the other ornaments just don't taste as good.

What kind of trees do you use?

Even if that were the case with the trees we used here, we'd just cut it so that it were able.

But of course now everyone uses fake in my family.

We don't have any ornaments with sentimental value on our tree, they don't fit in with the room, god obviously, the tree has a colour theme!

We don't have a star, instead we have loads of bows on the tree, and one big one at the top and they are gorgeous. I love them :3

Our tree. (http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j20/Dynasty__2006/IMAG01044.jpg) It was last years, but the only difference is there's no tinsel going down/up.

We have some little knitted decorations that my great auntie made for us years and years ago that I like. Little Snowmen and Father Christmases. Not works of art by any means, but they're very cute and I like having them on the tree especially because since they live in Scotland, it means we rarely see them. Otherwise, in very general terms, I've always liked lights and tinsel the most. I've never had much interest in the star/angel/what-have-you at the top.

The old, fat Christmas lights that actually have paint/film around the outside to produce the colored glow. They're probably extremely dangerous and have a great chance of burning down your tree.

I would add lights, shiny balls, candy canes, and stockings to my tree.

We used to have a pretty angel to put on the top of our tree. I wonder what happened to it. The tree just doesn't look the same without it.

Flashing, multicoloured, singing christmas tree lights. I haven't got any on my tree though, but i do like them.

My old babysitter helped my older son make some ornaments last year. He made a stocking and a christmas tree. She even had him bring them to me. I damn near cried when I saw them. Those are my favorites.

we used to have a ninja turtles ornament that was my favorite, but the dog chewed it up one year. Otherwise, I'm partial to these pink glass balls we have.

We don't get trees anymore, but my mom still puts out decorations like a big nutcracker which also happens to be my favorite. My brothers and I always used to go around Christmas to pick out ornaments at Pier1. Some of those were cool too.

I think that next year I'll wander around snatching lunches from people and bemoaning the fact that everyone is trying to eat my elaborate Christmas decorations. Arrrrrgh!
