I own one of those half new/half old slim PS2s. But now I have a PS3 as well. Where should I sell my old PS2 at? And how much do y'all think I could get on it?

I dunno, I heard some bad things about the backwards compatatablity on the PS3.

Well, I allready have a PS3, but I'm trying to sell my slim PS2. Where should I sell it, and how much is it worth?

Convert it to a portable playstation the way those enterprising heroes did a couple of years ago.

Dump out the insides, and create the most slim grill the world has ever seen. Or, perhaps instead, you should dump out the insides, and turn the game slot into a Ramen Slot. You put Ramen in, insert water through the top, and let it boil. Come back in 10 minutes, and you have cooked Ramen!

Anyway, yeah, about your PS2 and where to sell it... All I can really say is EBgames is a BAD place to get money for your system. Your best bet is either the internet, or to find someone who really wants a PS2 and sell it to them. However, I've heard that the Ps3 has backwards compatibility troubles. You might not be able to play your Ps2 games on your Ps3, but that depends on the model anyway. :3

Nope, my PS3 can play PS2 games. I've tried it, and it costed my grandmother about $100 more to buy it like that for me on Christmas. How much would it be worth, my PS2?

well a slim new costs 120 (last i saw) so your used one would be between 50-30$ usual resale price is between 40$ - 80$

and by backward compatibility they meant that the ps3 cant play ps1 games and sony's recommended fix is when you get a ps3 to buy a ps2 with it so your better off keeping it unless you never plan on playing ff7-9 again

Supposedly it's only certain models of ps3 that can't play ps2 games; I forget which one.

PS3's aren't compatible with 100% of PS2 games, especially since they ditched the hardware emulation for software emulation just to keep the real pointless features that make it so expensive. :)

But PS3 doesn't support the whole PS2/PSX games, unless you are lucky that all of your old PS games work on your PS3. If you are not planning to buy more old PS games then go for it. I don't know the price anyway.

I just need some tips on how and where to sell it, please.
