Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

I was thinking about buying Phantom Hourglass but then I heard it's direct sequel to Wind Waker and I never completed Wind Waker.

You don't really need to finish Wind Waker to get what's going on in Phantom Hourglass. The few important bits are recapped at the beginning of the game. (It's a good game, by the way.)
