Or Shooting Stars. Whatever. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20080103/sc_space/mustseemeteorshowerfridaymorning)

Is anyone going to watch this meteor shower?

You can also use this thread to talk about shooting stars or Ensign Claude Kenni. :choc2:

i dont feel like waking up early to see it but ive seen pleanty of shooting stars in my time. the other day i saw one probably the best one ive ever seen too.

i use to sleep out on my trampoline in the summer when i was young and i would look up at the sky and could see them every once in awhile.

won't be much for me to view from here, but also don't have to get up early to go see, so we'll see.

Forget what I posted here, I completely misread bits of the article.

I believe it said it would be best from 1am - 4am EST but will be able to be seen in the scope of 11pm - 7am EST.

I was hit in the face by a meteor once. It gave me super powers, or something.

Super Powers? Cool, I was always under the impression that something like that would kill you instatntly, I guess you got lucky.

I might give it a go. I don't think I've ever seen a meteor shower. I've seen a comet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hale-Bopp) though.

over the summer I went to the drive in theater with a few friends and instead of watching HPatOotP for a second time, I was paying more attention to the starry blanket above me..and I witnessed several shooting stars =] it was an amazing experience...and I felt so small and insignificant under that sky, but at the same time...I was quite glad to exist because I got to witness such a show of nature at its finest
