Okay, so we've finally decided on a song for our first dance, and it's "Your Song", as done by Ewan MacGregor and Nicole Kidman in the Moulin Rouge movie. We're quite happy with it.

If you're married, what was your first dance song, and why did you pick it? If not, then what would you like as your first dance song? Ever heard of any amusing first dance songs? I saw a couple on YouTube dancing to "I Like Big Butts", etc. Quite ridiculous, actually ...

SUPERMAN THAT HOOOOOOOOO!!!! <3333

Earth Angel by The Penguins or I'll Be Missing You by Billie Holiday. I'm totally in love with the idea of having all jazz standards (aka oldbies Sinatra type tunes) in my wedding, to make it all classy. :3

I'm going to have long, drawn out progressive rock pieces like JT's "Thick as a Brick" just to confuse people.

Most of our songs don't really have steady enough rhythms to slow dance to, so it'd take some consideration.

I thought you wanted to have a rave for our first dance?

The more I try to think of a song, the more I come up blank! I really can't pick. The unlucky fellow will have to do this part for me. And the rest of it, because I'm too lazy for planning.

I never had one. D: There was no dancing at my wedding. Ryan Styles was at my reception, though....

BJ and I don't dance. My favorite song, though, is The Luckiest by Ben Folds. Cid and his wife used that one for their first dance.

^ I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith? Good choice. :)

I'm not getting married so I don't have to worry about all this junk! :p

However, my friends Becca and Phil picked You Make Me Feel Brand New. They both used to work in a karaoke bar, and when Kelvin (who I'm good friends with) used to sing it, Phil used to sing it to Becca.

Well, I just asked him and he doesn't know xP

Probably "The Reason" by Hoobastank, or "Hero" by Enrique Igleasis or whatever-his-name is...or "When You're Gone" by Avril Lavigne...or maybe "Lady in Red" by Chris DeBurgh :p though I'll be wearing white...

We have a lot of songs =] so it's really hard to choose.

>> I don't know if anyone else mentioned it, But the "Your Song" in Moulin Rouge is just Ewan whatevers. "Come What May" features them both.

I'd want the Elton John version, It's cuter, and makes me happy just thinking about it. XD

It was one of the few things Hubbie was admant about in the wedding. He wanted us to dance to "Thank You" by Dido...

love stinks by whoever sings it. not even just because of the wedding singer but because the the whole wedding and that song well the irony would just amuse me.

Hey,

Have you listened newly released song "When I take Your Hand"? This song has been considered as one of the finest wedding songs. Another alternative from Shaun Barrowes is "You're All My Reasons" which also fits as the first dance at weddings.
