View Full Version : IT'S SO HARD! No it's not....

Have you ever been told that something in a game is really hard, but when you tried it you had little trouble with it? Everyone was telling me that the Purple Coin star in the Dreadnought Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy was the hardest thing ever. It was the last star I went for (because it was the last one that became available to me) and I was horrified because there were several stars leading up to it that I thought were going to kill me! xD! Well it took me two tries to do. It wasn't even the most challenging star in that level, let alone the game. o_O

Anyway, have you ever had this experience?

I'd heard beating Dario without the Black Plate in Chrono Cross was pretty brutal, but I didn't have a problem with it.

The Purple coins were easy, I got it in one try. Who told you they were hard? A three year old? :smash:

I was told Frank Horrigan (fallout 2) is hard if you dont hack the turrets and persuade the enclave to help you but I managed to take him down with the first try.

First boss in Ninja Gaiden. I found him much easier than almost every boss that followed. The fat guy on the blimp might've been the only easier boss in the game.

Yunalesca. Everything and everyone had built her up so much for me and I was :skull::skull::skull::skull: scared, and I absolutely destroyed her. It was sort of disappointing.

Also, Vagrant Story. Although I heard people moaning about that being insane after I played it, and I never thought it was anything insanely hard.

Dragonforce on Expert. I hear so much about it and I get to the end on my first try, and hit every note on my third.

I heard lots of hoopla about Dhoulmagus from Dragon Quest VIII being all kinds of "try and try again", and I beat him on the first try without even coming close to exhausting my characters.

I was told FFVII's Carry Armour was impossible, but I destroyed it first time. Nobody warned me about that Demon Wall in the Temple of the Ancients though. :p

Is that the arms dealer with the GECK? I was able to take him out without any outside help, I think.

Yeah, I took Yunalesca out my first time in battle with her. I wasn't even really trying at first, since I figured I would die. I was just trying to get a sense of what I'd need to prepare for when I really fought her. Then I killed her.

Probably Disgaea 2.

People said it was such a grind or your dead...

but nope~ I even managed to kaboom the final boss rather simple-ish-ly.

The first time I fought Yunalesca I didn't have any problems, but for some reason she raped me the second time. XD

Roto beat me to it.

Note: It took me forever to beat Yunalesca. X_X

Well, I'm the guy that people come to when something is hard. They're like, OMG this is so hard, you come do it. And then I do it for them. So yeah, I guess it happens all the time.

Some of my friends hate when I watch them play games, because I sit there and laugh cause they suck so much. I even tell some of them they suck sometimes. It's quite entertaining.

I will say, even I am challenged by some bosses on the Mania difficulty in Tales of Symphonia, but this can usually be solved by leveling. Then of course I always want to win the battles that you don't have to win, and more than likely are suppose to lose, so yeah.

I beat ToS on Mania with half EXP AND beat all of the battles you're supposed to lose AND I beat Abyssion. :P You just need a lot of items.

Apparently a lot of people struggle with the Opiomorph battle in Xenogears but I can't say I remember it being unusually challenging. I beat her the first time, in any case.

If you did you are a smurfing freak. A freak with either 3 arms or a trained pet spider to work the buttons for you!

Everyone was going on about how hard it was. It was really long and drawn out, but not hard.

Yeah, I had heard terrible tales about Yunalesca butching my best friend a lot of times when she played through Final Fantasy X, and so naturally when I had to fight her I was wetting my pants (not literally :P sillies).. but it turned out she was actually pretty damn beatable.

Since no one has mentioned Pokemon Diamond/Pearl's Elite 4, that just reminds me of my illogical fear of trying to fight them. My gamesave has been stuck on their doorstep for 8 months.

My friend told me that I wouldn't be able to complete Air's Rock on GS2 without a walkthrough, I did it fine in one go.

I have a super trained Dragonite of God that I took up against that Elite 4 when it was level 60, and I beat the 4 and the Champion without ever switching it from the front of the party. :D

If that's the big bad last boss you mean, then yeah, that's him.
