I do.

I almost didn't pick this up. Hsu and I went for a very chilly walk this afternoon, and we were almost back to our dorm when I stopped amidst the scalpers of basketball game tickets to turn over a small piece of sunshine on the ground.

The words on it made our jaws drop.

I did it a lot at school. It was weird because I'd pick something up, like an old pen lid or something and just put it in my pocket. Then I'd pull it out in lessons and just be like "Why did I bring this?" I pick up any monies more than 5p as well.

I took the "see a penny" motto to heart at Comp for a few months. Due to the loose pockets of my class mates I made over sixteen quid in the end on dropped pennies at all. Of course what constituted as "dropped" was quite liberal.

I pick up any coins, including 1 and 2p pieces. Every little bit helps. I counted over £8 this weekend. :p

(Most of it was, of course, from change.)

I pick stuff up all the time. My personal favorite was a notebook I found in Juneau, Alaska, but BJ made me put it back in case the owner came looking for it.

I pick up things all the time, once i was walking through a forest with friends and i found a digital camera by a tree in its case and in perfect condition:p

Yeah, I pick up any money on the floor that's more than 5p. Always comes in handy to have. I can't really think of anything terribly interesting that I've found on the floor lately. I don't obsessively pick up everything off the floor, but if something catches my eye I'll take a look.

well, it saved me time once.. a lot of time.

My phone was broken and i had no contact with my family at all, and they expected me to take the bus, but they didn't give me money -.-" .

Walking to the bus stop i notice a bus ticket on the ground. I pick it up and check the dates and it expiry. It was the last day for it and boy, was i lucky. it worked and i got to get home instead of walk ^^!

I've picked up a few things I found laying on the ground, notably a £50 note once and a couple of different model cellphones.

I found a pair of girls jeans laying on the floor. I promptly picked them up, put them on over my jeans and walked out of the school for epic lulz. My friends were like "WTF EPIC LULZ!" I then left them on the bus so the next day the bus driver went "Someone left their pants on the bus! WHOSE ARE THESE!?"

TWO HELPINGS OF EPIC LULZ!

I usually find stuff while cleaning up theaters at work and stuff.
Earrings,sweaters,baby toys, wallets,cellphones.
I one time found the wallet of this old man and I kept it with me in case he came back for it. And some lady came asking for it,his wife presumably.
And when I gave it to her she was so happy because it had his prescription for something that otherwise he wouldve died without.
She also gave me 10 dollars for my effort :3
My new wallet is also something i found, just tossed out the old i.d. in it and made myself at home since there was no money, lol.

I hope you at least tried to guilt more than that.

I don't really pick things up. But maybe I should start! :aimmad:

It is real. As in, it exists and I scanned it. As for what is Blessing, I'd like to know also.

I have a book on handwriting analysis I'd like to try out on it.

I found a $100 dollar bill on the ground once.

That was a good day. :)

I'll pick up any amount of money over $5. Less than that isn't worth it.

What if you happen to find around 10 dollars worth of change in different places? That stuff tends to add up, after all.

I pick up money (even pennies- they add up), and almost anything shiny. Which means I have a rather large assortment of broken jewelry. I have Magpie-itis. :D

Since you would probably be killed shortly after, not very.

The ABCs of Handwriting Analysis has lead me to believe that the note was written by someone who is slightly vain, harbors feelings of inferiority, someone very educated with caustic humor, who is intuitive, knows how to negotiate around business dealings/lying, who is inhibited, auto-erotic, fantasizes about sexual debauchery, who may throw temper tantrums, and is weak or feminine. And punctual.

I'm thinking a graduate student named Cissy!

[edit- I did some google searching, and there is a professor Marlon Blackwell who designed a golfhouse named Blessings, which is right around town. Don't know what was delivered or who 'Cis' is, but you know~]

If I see something worthwhile to pick up, and no one is around; then I'll pick it up. I wouldn't go out of my way to pick up every 1p and 2p I find though.

I think the most I've come across was a £20, a tennis ball [which my dog found for a free toy] and a Roman coin.

Once I found a small gnome on the ground, I picked him up and we went sight seeing together. After that we became very close. One day I lost him, and couldn't find him anywhere. For the next few years I lived every day a broken shell of the person I was, just trying to get through each minute hoping he'll come home again. Now any reminder that he even existed sends me into a state of catatonic depression.

Thank you for making this thread rubah.

I don't pick up anything but money that's $1 or higher.

EDIT: But my dog will pick up anything we let her. xD

I picked up a paperclip today and ended up using it to clip some application papers together, since I don't usually carry paperclips

You're very welcome alive-man. I hope you find your gnome.

There's also the possibility of some smartassed kids being nearby, watching strangers try to pick up the dollar coin they superglued to the ground. :p

I tend to pick up pens and stuff at school. Any small change i just kick at people and watch them dive on it, before realising its a 5c piece.

I'd pick up things that appeal to me. Most of them include feathers. Others are pens and even $20 in a mall park lot last December.
