I kind of brought this up in the Smash Bros thread, but figured I'd make a new topic. I'm wondering what everyone else is looking forward to picking up in the first 3 months of the year.

Here's my list of 'Get' games:

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin [DS, Jan 21]
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney [DS, Feb 12] (you can play a web demo now (http://static.capcom.com/apollojustice/embed.swf)) As an Ace Attorney 'vet', I finished it pretty quick, skipping the Cross-Examination tutorial and easily finding where to present the evidence. Mock trial, that was clever.
Professor Layton & The Curious Village [DS, Feb 10] (also a playable web demo, though in Japanese (http://www.layton.jp/fushigi/taiken/index.html). Will give instructions at bottom of post)
Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword [DS, March 25]
Burnout Paradise [PS360, Jan 22]
Devil May Cry 4 [PS360, Feb 5]
Patapon [PSP, Feb 28]
Smash Bros Brawl [Wii, March 9?]
Okami [Wii, March 25]

My short list of 'Maybe Get' games:
Culdcept Saga
Turok
Lost Odyssey
Winning Eleven/Pro Evo
Dragon Quest Swords

Speaking of Brawl, why's it not there? :P That's still March!

Anyway, you pretty much covered it for me.
-Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
-Burnout Paradise
-GTAIV????

I want to play the Phoenix Wright/Ace Attorney games in order, and seeing as how I just bought the first one a couple weeks ago and don't have the second one yet, I'll hold off on the new one.

Apollo Justice, even if Apollo is half as awesome as Nick this game's gonna rock.

Advanced Wars, I haven't played any before, but that looks like it'll be fun.

If I had the system: Devil May Cry 4. I fell the same way I do about Apollo. If Nero is even as half as awesome as Dante, that game'll rock.

For some reason I had the idea that its going to be released after March but you corrected me. Im definately getting Crisis Core. Still a hardcore FF fanboy deep down.

I'm for DMC4 and Lost Odyssey the most. I only have enough pebbles to buy one for a while. I'll probably get Lost Odyssey if Gamespot gives it a 6, since that seems to indicate I'll like it.

Smash Bros., Apollo Justice, and maybe Professor Layton. (The flash demo of Apollo Justice is pretty cool.)

Saying I want Smash Brothers is like telling me the earth is round (http://www.alaska.net/~clund/e_djublonskopf/Flatearthsociety.htm). It's a foregone conclusion. (And I simply forgot to mention it :P)

Crisis Core hasn't really snagged my interest. I didn't even really check to see what was on PSP's release list, but now that I have checked Patapon is on my 'Get' list.

JKTrix is not a Final Fantasy fan.

Smash Bros. Brawl is the only Q1 Release I'm really looking forward to currently. Only an allowance, so I can't go making huge lists of games, and most of the games I get are ones that have been out for a while anyway. Other than Brawl, though, FF7: Crisis Core looks to be good.

Apparently the game is a mystery where most of the gameplay is different kinds of puzzles. It seems interesting. I might wait until the whole trilogy is confirmed for North American release before I pick it up, though. I don't want to end up with the first part of the trilogy and being forced to skip the rest. xP

If you don't buy the first, the others might never come out! Demand is measured by sales!

Anyway, updated my post with Layton's official date, and also Okami Wii.

I'm extremely excited for Apollo Justice.

Brawl, DMC4 and Crisis Core should be good as well.

You know, now that Brawl is delayed, I think I might pick up No More Heroes for Wii.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots! That game looks so incredibly sweet.. it's literally one of the main reasons why I really want a PS3.

Roto13

Pretty sure that's not a Q1 game. :P

I would say Super Smash Bros. Brawl but I don't believe Sakurai and his claims of when Brawl is coming out anymore (at this rate it'll probably be a Q3 game).

I think I was going to post my astonishment that no one had mentioned that one in this thread, but I'm also not sure I have the best understanding of the fiscal quarter system. But No More Heroes looks like a blast. Want.

It does look like a blast, but I want to help my Mom think I'm not a violent maniac. She won't keep me from buying it, but she's slowly going crazy with the M games I've been getting.

I am Very Aware of 'No More Heroes', and that has made me Very Wary of it. My expectations (and subsequently anticipation) for that game are low. I don't want to be too disappointed with it when I get it later down the line.

It should be noted that I have played all the games on my 'Get' list in some form, aside from Smash Bros. and Advance Wars. So I have a decent grasp of what each will be like from some hands on experience.

Famitsu gave it some really good ratings (source (http://www.wiiliving.com/famitsu-gives-no-more-heroes-a-9-8-8-9/)) so more than likely it's going to be good.

Another game I have my eye on is Square-Enix's "The World Ends With You (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World_Ends_With_You)" (aka It's a Wonderful World) for the DS. It's supposed to be coming out in 'Spring', so until I get an actual release date it won't be on my list at top. But I do have a very close eye on it.

Since we've mentioned Famitsu scores, for what it's worth (http://forums.selectbutton.net/viewtopic.php?t=476), this game got 10 / 8 / 9 / 8.

I just remembered, I need to add Baroque to anticipated games. Is the middle of March Q1?

On the No More Heroes tip, check this (http://gonintendo.com/?p=34016) out. The more interesting comic book style of the Japanese version's instruction manual has been replaced with a normal Black & White with words manual. I apologize to anyone who was going to buy this game and was ignorant of this nifty little feature, as you would have been content with not knowing what you were missing (http://www.siliconera.com/2007/12/20/marvelous-no-more-heroes-has-a-comic-book-manual/).

It's not the first time this has happened. Okami's Japan-to-US manual transition had a similar fate. (http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/7879/okamijpmanqd1.jpg) If you want to know what Okami's US manual looks like (hint: it's not like that (http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/8586/okamijpman2hw5.jpg) at all), I suggest you buy it. PS2 now, or Wii in 2 months. /plug

I hate how I sound so down on the game in this thread :P I would have picked it up if I saw it yesterday at the store (when I picked up Burnout--first post updated), so I don't hate the game. I just know from various impressions that it's something I shouldn't get too excited for.

Something else, an English (in more ways than one) trailer for Professor Layton. (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/29896.html) Yes, the game does feature quite a bit of fully animated, and voice acted scenes.

I wanted to get No More Heroes yesterday but I couldn't find a copy. Not at all surprising, considering my current location.
