What is your favorite decade from the 1900s?

Either the 50s or the 90's. I grew up during the 90s and it was a great time, but the 50's are such a historically awesome decade. I love the 40s as well~

Generally I'd say the 80's, but the more I think about the 90's, the more I realised I loved them. Even if they were full of mainstream everything and were the start of fake everything, they were still good times.

I can't comment largely on the previous decades but they all seem unappealing to me.

80s man!

There were so many things (songs, shows, etc) that I like that all orginated in the 80s - but the 90s (the decade I grew up in) is a close second

The 80's will always have a special place in my heart.
The 90's had some stuff that you swear up and down you never liked, but in secret you really did.

My secret? Ace Of Base.

I happen to think that, in terms of height of any one musical era, the 1970s just can't be beat. No fecking way.

Ok, it did have a few good ones I'll give you that. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything everyone or a lot of people would have watched.

Even if I was srs bizness about that, which I'm not, I'm pretty much hardened and immune to such jibes because of Psychotic. So all I can say is: ROFFLECHAIRMANMAO. :kaolaugh:

80's. Despite not remembering a single day from it (my earliest memory is of 1990 Christmas time), I seem to know the most from it in terms of pop culture.

I like the 2000s too. I feel like there was more sadness in the 2000s, though. Or maybe just more awareness of it for me. After all, I was born on 1990, so the 90s were all my childhood and bliss from 1-10, and all I can remember from it was pokemon, digimon, skip-its, roller blading, and silly pop music. The 2000s are my teen years (11 until I'm 20), which haven't been all that great until recently. But I'm really enjoying 06 and on.

20's, 50's, and 80's.

For this century I predict: 20's, 30's, 70's.

I can't honestly say my favorite, as the only time period I seem to remember from is about 1999 and onward. And I only remember New Years of 1999, really. However, the 1990's had a bunch of good video games in it. Wario's Woods is just one of the many I could name.

No doubt there'd be secret arms deals going on over this forum left, right and centre. Though that happens now, so I'm not sure why I bothered to mention it.

Historically, the 30s is most interesting though I certainly wouldn't have minded being some wealthy upper class git in the 20s until... oh, let's say 29th October 1929. In terms of my own lifespan, the 80s were the best ten months of my life. Being waited on hand and foot, not a care in the world. Brilliant.

The 80's had the most corruption (remember Watergate?), civil unrest, nastiest stock market crashes, and the most stupid Tv shows.

Thus it is my favourite.

The 60's ruled. Even just the second half was more awesome than the 70's and 90's combined.

Oh, and Watergate was in the 70's.

1964-1973. Musically, ten of the most awesome and influential years imaginable. And what else besides music matters as far as history goes?

1964: The Beatles get their first #1 in the USA (I Want To Hold Your Hand) and revolutionize rock and roll music.
1965: Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited. Like a Rolling Stone? You know that song? Also, The Doors are formed.
1966: Beatles claim to be bigger than Jesus.
1967: Beatles prove that they are, in fact, true deities that are bigger than Jesus with the release of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
1968: Johnny Cash's Live at Folsom Prison. Led Zeppelin formed. Iron Butterfly's epic In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida released.
1969: Take a guess. I think it was some kind of concert thing on a farm.
1970: Janis Joplin dies at 27. The Beatles break up.
1971: Led Zeppelin 4 introduces the world to Stairway to Heaven. Jim Morrison dies at 27.
1972: Pong comes out in arcade. Thought I'd throw something in there that's not music-related.
1973: Dark Side of the Moon.
