I listen to Nobody's Perfect by Hannah Montanna, I know, it's Hannah Montanna ;/ But the lyrics are so inspirational, and I can really relate ^o^
And Unwritten by Natasha Beddingfield, I just love her and the message of the song
And Bad Day by Daniel Powter :]

Well I'm really depressed now so what do you listen to when YOU'RE depressed?

I don't listen to anything. I eat peanut butter. I don't know why, but peanut butter makes me happy. xD

But don't be sad! :kaocry2:

I suppose it depends. I don't like things with lyrics because if I'm depressed I'll want to try and gather my thoughts and think about it. As such, I'll sometimes retreat and listen to some nice piano or classical music. I often put The Planets on because Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity is good at cheering me up. Game soundtracks would fall into this category as well.

Let's talk about this in The Lounge. :monster:

When I'm depressed I usually listen to depressing music so I can wallow.

Perhaps we should all start listening to Green Onions or something when we get depressed. That'd soon chase those blues away.

J-pop songs tend to get my spirits up. Don't ask me why.

When I'm depressed I usually listen to depressing music so I can wallow.

Yeah pretty much the same for me. Listening to cheery music doesn't do much for me, I like to listen to music that goes with my mood. :monster:

If I'm in a super funk, I like to listen to blues guitar, opera or Russian classical music (mussorgsky or shastakovich mostly). But if you're asking for songs when I'm sad to make me happy then...

TWEE!

I'm From Barcelona, earlier Architecture in Helsinki, and Boy Least Likely To are the more modern/awesome bands that come to mind.

It's the musical equivalent of unicorn lollipops.

I'm another who wallows in misery. I've got a playlist of sad songs for when I'm feeling down. My music mirrors my mood, rather than the other way around.

Anything that makes me want to kill people.

I actualy have a had time finding music I like while sad or depressed. Nothing ever seems to fit my mood then.

I don't stay depressed long enough to make through one song. If I even feel like I'm starting to get sad I think of fun things and it goes away :D

It really depends on a whole lot of stuff. Many times when I'm depressed I don't even listen to any music, but just lie in bed an feel bad for myself :)

But, if I'm really sad and just need to let it all out I usually put on some Antony and the Johnsons. Listening to their music has made me cry some times now. Antony is just such a beautiful singer.

I usually listen to brutal death metal when I'm feeling down or angry.
Emotional songs are just going to make you feel worse, I suppose.

I usually listen to something that will make me even sadder.

Then I'll change it to angry metal and end up in a great mood. :D

When I'm really really down, usually Adagio for Strings by Samuel Berber comes on (If you don't know it, it's the song from Platoon, if you haven't seen that film, go see it!)

I like to listen to Clubbed to Death by Rob Dougan from the Matrix soundtrack. The piano bit in there is awesome.

Well, since I listen to only one form of music, I listen to the same stuff regardless of whether I'm drunk, depressed, super happy, or p'ed off.

As for songs I listen to when I'm depressed, I'd have to go with Pantera's "Cemetery Gates", or perhaps Slayer's "Seasons In The Abyss", or maybe even Megadeth's "In My Darkest Hour", or perhaps Forbidden's "Chalice Of Blood".

Anything that isn't hyperactively happy. It just doesn't work. Happy songs normally make me sadder. Oh, with the exception of "Don't Worry, Be Happy." I like that no matter what my mood is.

Wow, I'm not the only one who thinks Evanesence is great for when you are in a bad mood.

Other good ones are Goo Goo Dolls and Red Hot Chilli Peppors. (Specifically Otherside, great stuff that Otherside)

Sometimes I listen to Jerry Cantrell, mostly his songs off his Degridation Trip album since it's the only one of his I own. Some of his songs are a blend of rock and blues.

Other times I listen to Godsmack just to beat the ever living crap outta the depressed mood.

I listen to the pillows. (They're a Japanese band.) Seriously, if you're listening to the pillows, then no trace of despair can get within 3 feet of you. If I'm listening to them on my ipod, emos will actually be shoved away by the force field of happiness.
