Anyways, I was digging through some high school assignments from a long time ago to kill some time when I stumbled across an old Macbeth poem that I wrote for English.

Freakishly enough, I discovered that the poem actually totally fitted the FFVI regular battle music. So if you were to sing the poem along with that music, it would fit perfectly!!

I don't have a link to the FFVI regular battle music but I managed to type up the song for you guys:

Duncan’s coming over to our castle tonight
He’s going to hand over his kingdom without a fight
Little does he know Macbeth and I
Are going to make sure that he’ll die
In my heart make sure that there’s no remorse
So I can freely let evil take its course
Fill my breast to the brim with gall
Till there’s no milk in them at all
Let the clouds and sky become dark
Make my evilness really spark
May Macbeth lose his royal loyalty
So he’ll become obedient to me
Although King Duncan looks like my dad
I’m not going to make that make me feel sad
Because Macbeth is the one
Who’ll get Duncan’s murder done
We’re going to get Duncan drunk
Then afterwards we’ll assassinate that punk
Since Duncan’s young sons won’t take his throne
Macbeth and I will rule this country alone
We’ll rule the country and get all the riches
Just like it was foretold by the witches
We two will get the royal crown
And when everyone sees us they’re going to bow down
Once we’re part of the royal line
Our whole life will be absolutely fine
Oh how it would make me feel so swell
Once the name Macbeth becomes royal

Freaky huh?

That is quite odd. I suppose Macbeth itself has some parallels with FFVI too. Such as Kefka (Macbeth) killing his king (Duncan) for power over the Empire (Scotland). You've got the ally of Kefka in Leo (Banquo) who is loyal to the the Emperor who is killed in an attempt to make Kefka's position safer. There's obviously the chaos in which Scotland and the world is plunged into when the Kefka/Macbeth rules it and those that oppose them going into hiding (to England and Ireland) before eventually removing the villain from power.

I never actually noticed those FFVI and Macbeth parallels.

I find it hard to match the word with the music

I sort of can with the ffvi boss music though

You can't?

The song repeats after
"We’re going to get Duncan drunk
Then afterwards we’ll assassinate that punk."
