I was so surprised when I didn't find a thread on this already o.o

Anyone else play? If so, which titles have you played, what difficulty level are you on, and what are your favorite songs?

I've played 1, 2, 3, and one song on Encore: Rock the 80s. I just beat medium on 3 today and I'm still on easy on 1 'cause I never play it :p 2 is currently too scratched to play so I can't play that =\

Favorite songs are: Miss Murder, Paint It Black, Talk Dirty to Me, Reptilia, and Cliffs of Dover ^^

love this game
played 1, 2 & 3
completed 1 on all difficulties (only 5 stared all of easy and medium though as i found the poor hammer on and pull off system tedious)
Completed 2 on all difficulties, 5 starred Easy, Medium and Hard
Completed 3 on Easy, Med & Hard. cant do Slayer on expert though

Fave songs?
Probs Madhouse, Cliffs Of Dover and Killing In The Name

I have played 1, 2, and 3. I've 5-starred every song on every game except for a few of the last set songs, and Psychobilly Freakout (on 2). I only play on Expert.

I played it once at Game Stop while waiting for them to let us buy FFXII for the midnight release. S'ok.

We did have a thread on this very game, but it's been lost to the ravages of time. I can play on Expert consistently, though I kind of suck at prolonged chords. GH3 was the point where it got ridiculous. The last set of songs on Hard are bad enough. Expert is just insane. It takes the truly OCD'ed of us to get that good.

I'm surprised you didn't find it too. (http://forums.eyesonff.com/general-gaming-discussion/113401-roxout-coxout-guitar-hero-iii.html) Oh, snap!

Except that one's about GHIII and this one's about all of them so it's legit anyway. Pfft, whatever.

I have III, played I, played II like once, but what I really want is 80's. And I want to be able to download songs for III, since I have it on Wii.

According to post #6, you're the lame one, fatty.

I'm not a fatty, you fatty.

Also, Activision says they're working on a way to get downloadable content on the Wii version.

I'd like to play Rock the 80's, but I refuse to pay that much money for an expansion set.

What dyou think GH2 and GH3 were?

Guitar Hero II and III were new characters, new stages, and 50 to 70+ new songs. Rock the 80's is just a watered down GH II that reused everything from GH II (and I think it's actually missing some stuff besides the songs) with something like 30 songs. It was Harmonix churning out the last game in their contract so they could leave and make Rock Band.

And yet it's the same price as GH II.

EDIT: Actually, 30 songs for $50 works out to about $1.67 per song. I think new songs for download in GH III are only $1.60 per song.

Yea, Rocks the 80's isn't really worth the money, as Roto said it's a watered down GHII, it was literally GHII just with different songs and less content.

I adore Guitar Hero. I only started on II on the 360, I soon became hooked on it and was on hard in days. I've always been good at rhythm based games though, I can thrash anybody at Donkey Konga, I was on Insane mode on Ouendan and I'm on expert on both GH II and III.

On GHII I can get up to about 38/42 songs on Expert (it took me months and months to get passed Psychobilly freakout, for serious), on GHIII I'm stuck on 'the metal' on Expert, which is like 32/42, so I still have alot to go, It is much much harder than II though! I went on II at the weekend and oh my god, it was like the hard mode on III. (when I first went on GH III I kinda skipped all the other modes and went straight on expert xD)

I also rarely ever get on the games as they are my brothers and he lives on the 360, so I only get on it like 3 times a week. :(

I actually beat The Metal on Expert just this afternoon. Screw Slipknot, though. I'm not playing that :skull::skull::skull::skull:ty screamo song ever again. I'll stay at set 7 forever.

I haven't tried it yet, but I hear it's great fun... I don't know, though, it doesn't really seem like something I'd enjoy for more than maybe a couple of days or so.

I've played all of them. Uhh I can only do medium =P
My favorite game is Rock the 80's.
Favorite songs are Freebird, More Than A Feeling, Sweet Child O' Mine (although the voice is terrible), No One Like You, Ballroom Blitz, Nothing But A Good Time, and Carry on my Wayward Son

there used to be threads until it became old news xD

I got pretty good at the original but then it wasn't fun anymore. I kinda want to see if I can still wail out more than a feeling though now.

Finished GH1 on all difficulties, GH2 on Easy-Hard and got to song set 6 on Expert, GH80's Easy-Hard, and GH3 on easy-hard and got to song set 7 on Expert. Haven't tried 5-starring everything on any particular game/difficulty yet, though I'm a bit proud of just making it through TTFAF on Hard on 3.

I've played a lot of my nephew's GH2. Spent a weekend with 3 and Rock Band. They're really addictive. Though I think GH3 was just made to torture and/or test skill (or as stated earlier OCD). Expert isn't just expert. Its insane. Rock Band doesn't seem out to get the player. Its a lot friendlier and more refined. So I'm thinking I might get that game soon. Hopefully all the breakage issues are worked out by now

I beat 1, 2, and 80's songs between the medium and expert range.

I do the same for number 3 except I can only beat through the fire and flames on hard, but I can't beat raining blood on hard O.o

Though I've been told that the hardest song on expert is the devil went down to georgia guitar battle.

3's and 7's was the worst ever, and that was just on Hard. :( Took my man Barry and I dozens of tries before we got it.

<3 GH though. I've only got II and III. I consider 80's way overpriced given the content. I'd pay that much if the number of songs was the same as the regular games, or if they had really, really epic music on there, but there's only a couple of songs I hugely like.
