Final Mix is a Japanese-only expanded version of the numbered games, I and II. Basically, they have additional content, and additional hints toward sequels. Suffice it to say, no they are not coming to the West, yes, you are an idiot if you even began to wonder if it could be true, and no, we do not condone illegal sharing of intellectual property at EoFF. However, we do endorse (or are endorsed by) Google. Please use it.

That being said, the series follows as such:
KHI --> KHI FM
KH: CoM --> KH Re: CoM
KHII --> KHII FM+
*insert planned games here*

It's not KH3. Final Mix is basically Kingdom Hearts, only with many cool new features.

Differences between KH2 and KH2FM+:

1. New mode of difficulty, Critical Mode. You start off with an ability called "XP 0" that prevents you from gaining XP. You can play through the game at level 1 if you are good. The HP bar in Critical Mode is also half of that of the other modes, so you only get a total of 60HP.

2. New scenes, but they do not have any voice acting.

3. New abilities
a. Flash Step-rushes at an enemy; it has less range than Slide Dash, but it is quicker

b. Crisis Half-damage is halved when HP is low

c. Round Break-spin slash that attacks all surrounding enemies

d. Aerial Dive- three diagonal aerial slashes at an enemy

e. Magnet Splash- draws in enemies, then creates an explosion to damage them

4. Different coloring for certain Heartless

5. New Bosses
a. Roxas in The World that Never Was
b. Absent Silhouettes of Vexen, Lexaeus, Zexion, Marluxia, and Larxene
c. "Data" fights of all OXIII members; they are incredibly stronger.
d. Terra, the Knight; the game's hardest boss YouTube - KH2 Final Mix+ Sora vs. ES/Terra (Lvl. 99;CM) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO0vNktmjsI)

6. New "mushroom challenges"; 13 in total

7. New Weapons
a. Two Across Keyblade-get from beating Roxas in TWTNW
b. (forgot the name) Keyblade-get from beating the mushroom challenges
c. Lexaeus' Tomahawk-a staff for Donald
d. Vexen's Shield-for Goofy

8. New Drive form, Limit Form. Has most of Sora's KH1 abilities, including Dodge Roll as a growth ability

9. In KH2, the X button was to "confirm" a command and the O button was to Jump. It's switched around in FM+, so you'll be mashing O in fights instead of X.

It also comes with a PS2 remake of the GBA game, KH: Chain of Memories. You get to fight Zexion in the PS2 remake version.

Now here's the worst part:

It's for Japan only.

Come on. You're a huge KH fan, right? Surely you wanted it to be released in the west as badly as some us did as well? I know I really wanted it when I first heard about it.

There's a difference between wanting it and making it happen.

For example, I WANT to get laid, but it's not going to happen. Without money.

U can always import it, but only if u have Japanesse PS2 or pay $50 for a swap magic, it would also help to have something to translate.
