An old game becomes one of my new addictions. I got Tetris on my calculator, and I play it all the time, and I just can't put it down.

Anyone else play Tetris? :p

I got sick of it after playing an OSX version called Quinn too much on too many airplane flights. Sometimes I still open it up, but I can't stand it very long.

Tetris is like sex, addictive and makes you strive to last longer.

Tetris is the quintessential puzzle game, and I've played it since I was 6...though I don't quite have my strategies down pat 100%.

I still have two copies of the Game Boy Tetris. :P I stick to Tetris DS these days, though.

Tetris belongs on a handheld.

It's literally been years since I've played Tetris, but I still dig it. It's as retro as video gaming can get.

People that enjoy this game may find this piece of research on the Tetris effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetris_effect) interesting — and strangely familiar if they've read the article after playing the game.

I've had the "images of falling Tetris shapes at the edges of their visual fields or when they close their eyes" thing before. That is some freaky stuff.

Yeah, that's happened to me. :P It happened with Meteos, too, actually.

I hate the zigzag pieces.

I have 4 copies of Tetris. One for the NES (was my Dad's), one as a 2-in-1-cartridge along with Dr. Mario (Super NES versions), an N64 version, and my most recent, the DS version. I don't play them as often as I used to however.

I am awesome at Tetris. Like stupidly awesome. If I don't get into the triple digits in terms of lines whenever I play it's usually due to me having to do something else or the battery running out on whatever peripheral I happen to be playing.

I love Tetris. It's one of those nice, classic games that everyone has played or at least heard of. I've got the game on my mobile phone which is nice to make bus and train journeys go faster and more enjoyable.

What version?

What version?

Any version that doesn't have "sticky blocks", as in blocks that'll stop the split second they touch another block and don't allow a few moments to turn it/shift it along into place. I can still consistently get 70+ line on those other version.

Like Pac-Man, I find it boring after level 2.

A hundred lines in any version of Tetris with infinite rotation (what you're talking about) is really nothing to brag about. :P

Shlup's Z comic is the best thing I've ever seen :jess: Even better than watching a chef get burnt by popping grease, which is awesome.

Tetris is pretty neat-o. Good to soak up some time. There aren't many games made in 1785 that still work just as well today as they did back then.

Because I tell it like it is and some people can't handle it?

You'd be surprised how many of my relationships are based on the person loving me and me being altogether hateful.

My love of Tetris is similar to that of Guilty Gear: I suck hard at it, but love the game and its music. I can just about reach triple digits in lines but that's pretty much it.

I play it my cellphone, or in a flash game version. The last Tetris game I owned was Tetris Worlds for the GameBoy Advance.

Never really liked Tetris, and its not something I'd play unless I had absolutly nothing else to do. I did however play all day once to beat a certant person's high score on one site.

Wiicade (www.wiicade.com) has a flash version of Tetris that's designed to work in the Wii Internet Browser. Uses the buttons on the Wiimote and everything.

Yeah, I've played that Tetris before on my Wii. It's fun, and I dig its version of the music. I once played EyesonFF's Tetris for the hell of it in the game's section, and a thread soon followed.

Anyway, I'm no good at Tetris, but I was decent at Puyo Pop. But that's clearly not Tetris. The pieces just never go the way I want them to. :p
