Today I remembered about the little red View-Master.

And I remembered how creepy it was.

I had inherited it from my brother or sister so I had several reels at my disposal, including (I think) mary poppins and the cabbage Patch kids.

Those few still images in 3-d creeped me out quite a bit, but they were so enticing; what were these characters? Why were they in a garden?

I remember view-masters! They made me feel educated without knowing it. I don't like sneaky education.

Use them to loft your bed, or building a cooling tower for your computer.

LEGO
GI Joes
Ninja Turtles
He-Man
(seeing a pattern here?)
Also Star Trek Micro Machine ships..omg I'm so the nerd, my best friend Billy and I made up a very technical space war game with them, each ship had stats like range, sensors, offensive and defensive power, it was so awesome!

Transformers
NES
TMNT
Other assorted action figures
Lego
Kinex
Other assorted assembly type things.

there as this really cool one I had, it was fake welding with plastic rods, you basically welded parts onto a car, then rammed it into walls until they broke off, then repeated the process.

For the love of God, the plural of Lego is Lego. >=O None of this "Legos" crap. It reminds me of Argos!

"Got my Lego, got my Hot Wheels, GOT MY VIEWMASTER"

Transformers were always the ultimate toy, though.

Seriously I must stop. I could spend the rest of the day on this thread.

Go-bots

So! I'm not the only one who remembers these. After the Transformers movie came out, I would joke, "When is the Go Bots movie coming out?" to which people replied, "What are Go Bots?" And there was no way of getting them to remember. I was starting to think I made it up in my head along with the theme song, "Mighty robots, mighty vehicles, Go Bots."

marble works (http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/6731/marbleworkswf7.jpg)I had totally forgotten about that until you mentioned it. I remember having a set, but being disappointed when I went to the library and finding out they had a set that had a dozen different pieces that I didn't have. Where did you go about getting a set with all the pieces? Was it a deluxe set?

pogs....Shut up. Pogs aren't gone. I still have my book of pogs. They'll be back any day now. They're only on a short hiatus while they come up with new designs. Pogs are way too cool to disappear forever. Soon, your collectibles stores will be selling pogs once again. And I will be able to get thousands of dollars for my collection if I decide to sell. But I won't sell.

But.... But.... But, does anyone remember Alphie? No one? I'm certain I didn't make it up.

Well....

Maybe I did. And maybe I made up Go Bots too, and PG is just a figment of my imagination set up to further the illusion that I didn't.

I can't imagine how screwed up and unfulfilling your childhood must have been for you.

Go down to City Hall, and turn in your "I get to live" voucher this instant. A life without Legos is fail. By the way, people, the plural of Lego is LEGOS. With an S, because you spell it like it sounds. No Jesus rule applied here.

legos was awsome.. i use to make huge castles and play out huge battles with lots of mideavil armies.

and then when i grew older i made the armies star wars like.. because you have to go with your time you know ^__^

but the battle and stories i played in my mind while playing with lego could probably trump the LOTR movies :)

i had a big imagination :p

Haha same here. The little doll people would have to sit/lay where they were suppose to sit. xD

I remember pogs. I had some, the only one I remember was this metal one with a green skull on it, it glowed in the dark.
