I can't go in a public bathroom until I'm sure everyone is out. I feel nervous otherwise.

Are you one of those people who turn the faucet on when they pee Roto?

A'yo, I can get a little nervous, but when I start there's no stopping me!

Depends on whether I'm trying to annoy the person or not. Chances are, I wouldn't care either way.

Most girls put the hand dryer on before they go pee so no one can hear. I cannot pee when I think someone hears me. I feel gross.

I feel pretty weird when I think people can hear me taking a slash.

I'm fine with it. I mean, people can't see you and don't know who you are so it doesn't matter. Besides, everyone does it...

I don't mind if people are around.

It's kinda unnerving to have someone sharing my bodily functions, so I did vote for the lower option, but as long as I don't have to see them face to face and can escape, it won't bug me too bad.

There was one horrible horrible time when I had a seventh hour study hall with two other girls and no teacher and I was using the potty before going to work on my art, and then they came in, and stayed for five minutes. And talked about me. I about died.

I used to have a phobia about people listening to me pee. But now I just don't care; everyone's in there for a reason. If their reason is to giggle about the way my urine flows, so be it. :jess:

The only times I hear my neighbour's activities is when he plays carpenter, throws a party, or pees.

I prefer not to make a scene, so I try to keep it fairly quiet if other people - especially women - are within earshot.

Not immensely, but a little yeah. I don't like hearing other people do their toilet thang, which makes it muchos sucky living next to the bathroom.

How weird, someone just peed in the bathroom above my room and I could hear them :D :D :D

I can't stand it....at all. If I can avoid going when someone is in the house I will do. I won't turn the shower on to cover it up.....after years of practise I've bcome quite an accomplished quiet wee-er.......but I'll turn the shower on for other things.....

I hate it but had to get over it. I pee an abnormal amount from a mixture of coffee, diet soda, and a bladder about as awesome as "Y" being a vowel sometimes. I have to go so much, I learned to just let it go. People won't take any kind of trips with me because I go so much :jess:.

It bothers me if I'm in any private place, and only if people in the same place can hear. It doesn't bother me if my neighbors can hear though, for some odd reason. I hear them all the time. I'm not sure why, but the bathrooms are right next to each other (I live in a duplex) and the walls are paper thin.

Yes. The sound of a liquid hitting another liquid is heard everyday outside the restroom, what makes hearing it inside any different?

Me and my friends always hit the hand-dryer and race into the cubicles, if that fails then you wait for someone to flush. I hate hate hate it.

I try to be as loud as possible in public toilets. I want the general public to know that when it comes to my bowel movements I'm totally in charge.

In public bathrooms where you have urinals on the walls, I'm more concerned with concealing myself than making noise. It's amazing how many people want to peek at you while you're taking care of business. In fact I usually try to go into a stall if there's one available just because of that.

I do find that I sometimes try to pee stealthily when I'm in someone's house, though. I aim for one of the sides of the bowl where the water doesn't reach and go at it. Makes a lot less noise.

I have really good aim.

Why is it that urinals are like that anyway? Guys should be able to pee in private, too :(

Because you shouldn't be worried that someone is looking at your little thing...who cares....if they wanna look I don't care either way, it's not like they're gonna try and touch it.

That's a very interesting question, jesse.

*goes to wikipedia*

[edit- it was strangely quiet on the history of the urinal which leads me to believe that men have been sharing pee time and penis lengths with one another for millennia now and it's only recently that enough of them have decided they don't like the trend to even consider giving a private urination space.

Sometime I'm going to go into the co-ed bathroom at the other end of my dorm, lock the door, lower my pants and pee like a Real Woman.

DISCLAIMER: that site is pretty much about sex. That particular page isn't, but the links are all very clearly indicated. If you don't want to read a certain woman's own take on certain sexual matters, don't click the inner links, or don't click my links :p]

So..if girls master this technique (note: I did not click the link, because I don't particularly want to know), does that mean they will make co-ed urinals as well? o_O

You could just let rip almost anywhere, and it wasn't that big of a deal. People would even have a friendly chat while venting themselves in the street... though an old European text on etiquette mentions that it's customary "not to greet someone who is defecating".

Yeah, I hate when people I don't know hear me/see me use the toilet. >_>

It's alright if I'm at home, or at a friends house; but I really can't stand public toilets. >_<
