The message seemed like a prank at first. "WE ARE THE ROGUE UNION OF HATRED" it boldly proclaimed. "WE SHALL DESTROY YOU, NATIONS OF EARTH! WE ARE UNITED AS ONE, DIVIDED BY ZERO! THE FIRST WAVE WILL BEGIN!" Bored teenagers, yes, that would be it.

But it wasn't.

The nuclear missiles began to fall, just hours after minor government officials had scoffed at the warning.

Croatia, Switzerland, Peru, Portugal, Slovakia and DJibouti, all Redshirt Cannon Fodder, were nuked on night zero.

The attacks would continue, another message proclaimed. There would be war. The World Leaders sat up and noticed, and began to talk about what to do. Kofi Annan, (to hell with Ban-Ki Moon. Kofi is a legend) leader of the UN, called the nations together. Every day they must decide which nation to invade and conquer, in an attempt to flush out the scum.

And so this is the way the world ends. With an almighty bang.

YOUR MODERATOR

That's me, [M] Kofi Annan! No, voting for me is not the hilarious prank you think it is (I can't die anyway. I'm the mod!) Psychotic and qwertyxsora are the ones who will be logging into this account. We'll help to tell the story, produce vote counts and move the game along.

All night actions will be PMed to [M] Kofi Annan.

DAY AND NIGHT

The game is divided up into a day phase and a night phase. Both the day phase and the night phase will last a maximum of 24 hours. We can and will change this if we feel the game is too fast or too slow. During the day phase, discussion takes place, as well as voting. The day ends with a town member being lynched, and then the night phase will begin. This thread will be closed at that point. Those who have night abilities will submit them, and once that is done (or once the deadline expires) a new day will begin.

VOTING

Every player must vote, and must do so on every day that they are alive. So if you're not going to be around for the deadline, it's best to get a vote in beforehand.

When voting, please do it in this format
##vote: name

You can also unvote for people. This takes the same form:
##unvote: name

When a majority vote is reached, the day will end and that person will be lynched. If there is no majority by the voting deadline, the person with the highest vote count will be lynched. In the event of a tie, there will be sudden death.

BASIC RULES

Borrowed from Miriel (hey we wrote the rest of this post ourselves, okay?)
Unless specifically mentioned in your Assignment PMs, all Mafia related discussion must happen in the Official game thread. Please do not discuss the game using instant messengers, IRC, Private Messages, voice chats, phone calls, snail mail etc. etc. No, we can't enforce this because we can't spy on you, but we would appreciate it if you followed this simple rule.
Do not reveal your role privately to each other. You can of course roleclaim as part of your strategy in this thread. Just don't do it outside the game.
Play nice. Even if you are using second accounts, don't resort to flaming and whatnot. Kill each other without resorting to being mean.
Please make all posts in the Game thread under your specific Mafia accounts.
Play fair. Also known as the "don't be an ass" rule. Being an ass includes cheating, diverging completely from your assigned role, going back and deleting or editing all your posts, using asshole-ish methods [M] to find out information about other people's roles, etc.
Do NOT use your Mafia accounts to post in any non-Mafia related threads.
You CANNOT abstain from voting!Regarding roles and accounts
All roles were randomly assigned to each Mafia account, and each Mafia account was randomly assigned to each player using Random.org. So please don't assume that roles were assigned based on a Final Fantasy character's personality.
Psy's note: It may seem like your role reflects your character because of the role PM, but that's just me trying to add some flavour to the game. They really were all assigned at random.
Also keep in mind that this is NOT a roleplaying game. You are not expected to act as though you are the country whose name you are occupying. And continually doing so throughout the game is discouraged. Cause, you know, that's just silly. The country names are merely vehicles that we're using to play the game.
Do not tell anyone the name of the account you are controlling. And don't use not-so-subtle hints, either, like arguing/agreeing with your real account, mentioning your real account's name and so on. Just use your brain.ROLES IN USE
Most can be found in this flash. (http://mikeburnfire.sitesled.com/mscumB.swf) We may have modified some roles to make them more interesting, but the basics are all there. We would also like to say there is one role that is not on the flash in any way, but it's not a powerful role that will affect the balance of the game.

There are NO jesters, bombs or nexuses in this game.
There are Vanilla Town in this game.

THE WAY OF PEACE
The Way of Peace is a Cult, and is an enemy to the town faction. The Cult Leader is night kill immune for the first three nights. If a cultist is lynched during the day, the Cult will lose its ability to recruit that night.

Day one begins now. I think we've spent too long in Day One to be honest, so I shan't be waiting for every last PM read receipt. You've all had time to get used to your roles and plan general strategies.

I think the deadline shall be 27 hours from now. And go.

Quick Question, how is it that no one could see just who fired the nukes?

I mean come on, we can see ones car plates from a satellite, HOW do we not know who fired the Nukes?

Also, aren't we all going to die from the massive radiation leakage anyway, thus killing the whole point of finding out who did it, as we are about to die anyway?

In addition, aren't they killing themselves off as well by releasing all this radiation? I mean really, how stupid are these people? :P

There are those who we will in bomb shelters burried deep within the Earth with supplies to last for centuries. Realizing their the only hope for humanity they will begin to reproduce in order to one day repopulate the Earth. The only problem is they do not have enough food to survive thus develop a highly sophisticated cannabilistic system whereas those who are no longer productive, namely the elderly, will be offered to a nameless god and then eaten promptly.

The only person I find the least bit suspicious is New Zealand. I didn't like how they jumped for the double vote and put it on Australia for no reason (though in all fairness, nobody had acted all that suspicious and the similarities between their avatars are confusing). I disagree with Germany to vote for the person with the most votes so we can end the day early because we want to have as much discussion as possible in order to figure out who the mafia are. Oh man, just log on and have to go to a new account. I'm a silly canook.

While I understand how much everyone hates day one, I think day one is one of the most important of them all. There are no visible alliances, no townies having to judge who to trust and who not to. Only mafia and cult know each other. Only mafia and cult can be thinking similar things.

By just hopping on a vote quickly doesn't cause any reaction from the accused. Why vote for someone who has already defended themselves and shown only once what their reaction is? I say vote for another and get someone else to take up a stand against said vote so we can see more reactions.

Well, for me personally it was either Germany or New Zealand. But the only real reason I had for NZ was that they had the most votes already. Germany just kind of jumped on NZ's vote at first and then just randomly changed it for no reason. I fully admit this is a stupid reason, hell, not even much of a reason at all, if at all, but I find that slightly better than just voting because someone has tons of votes already. Though that would get the day over faster, it doesn't help much in the end.

I might end up changing my vote in the end as well, it depends on what happens before the day is up, but yeah, there really isn't much to go on at all right now.

Alright, I forgot to check back here yesterday, but thats alright, because I'm here now xDDDD

From the look of it we're going to have very, very little to go on, until we see someone lynched and who died. Until then as far as I see it we have two things to go on.

1. New Zealand jumping on the double-vote
2. Germany switching to try and get someone dead.

I feel that one is more excusable then two. Because to be fair, someone had to vote first. Germany on the other hand, is clearly just voting for who has the most, which means he can't even use the excuse "random vote"

If you people are going to keep playing this game with the "OMG SOMETHING HAPPENED! IT MUST BE SUSPICIOUS" mentality you seem to have now, you're going to fail miserably.

News flash: Nobody is suspicious. Anyone who thinks anyone is suspicious is being Ceej brand paranoid and you probably shouldn't listen to them in the future because they like to base their suspicions on nothing. (You'll all see when I'm dead.)

I jumped on Germany right away because they were so quick to change their vote like that. I may have been quick to change as well, but I had reason.

The only reason you could have for voting for me is if you know I'm innocent and you're not.

Germany did not.

I already told you I'm voting for whoever has the most votes (besides me, of course) because I want the day to be over. Day 1 is pointless. We've been in day 1 for like 3 days.

So yeah. UK is placing suspicion where there isn't any, and after I'm lynched and come up town, you'll know who to go after next.

Not having a terribly good reason to vote for someone on Day 1 is not reason to believe we're going to fail miserably. Most of the time that's just how it goes, and the town seems to constantly win despite these erratic first day voting patterns. Anyway,

Germany;2428493']Voting for the one with the most votes can really make this day go faster.

I spend one night away from home and now I'm a completely different country.

There's plenty of suspicion, Deutschland. But it's day one (still) so no one really knows anything, it's all speculation at this point, everyone knows that. And there's absolutely no guarantee that UK is Mafia just because they suspected you and you claim to be town. Really, at this point people are going with their gut feelings.

That being said, Deutschland is the most suspicious to me right now, for a number of reasons. The quick bandwagoning, the quick votechange, and Germany has to be on the losing side of a World War. And other things too, I'm just short on sleep.

"Deutschland όber alles" is the German national anthem. Germany over all. And so it would seem that the countries of the world agreed. Vote for Germany above all others. After all, Germany had been responsible for the last two world wars, surely this was just a case of history repeating itself.

And so Kofi Annan ordered the UN invasion of Germany. The UN, being a force for evil and whatnot, napalmed the Rhineland. They stormed into Bavaria, armed with flamethrowers, torching all in their path. Germany was ablaze. And they didn't stop.

What did they accomplish by purging Germany? What was it all for?
Nothing. You see:

Germany, Vanilla Town, was burned to the ground. Germany was played by Mr. Roto13. Hard luck, Roto!

After the quick destruction of Germany, the nations of the world quieted down and went to sleep. Yes, it was night all over the world. However, Canada could not fall asleep. Guilty about not stopping the death of Germany, Canada did what any sane country would do, and took some sleeping pills. But then all of the Canadians dropped dead from lead poisoning.

Canada was an Insane Cop, played by Levian and Lekana.

But wait, In the middle of the night the Italians felt a tremor, and then Mt Vesuvius exploded for a mysterious bomb. Italy was incinerated, and within seconds, was completely destroyed.

Italy was a Vanilla town, played by Goldenboko.

I'm all for discussion but it could be done a lot quicker if people get their asses in gear.

So maybe I'll start. Here's what we have without analyzing the information from the night time:

UK - Called out by Germany before he died. Germany's posts will have the argument to lynch this country.

New Zealand - Top vote getter yesterday until Germany got in trouble. So I guess the reasons from yesterday would be the ones to go for this country since nothing has changed there.

China, France, Israel, Spain - did not vote but maybe they just didn't get on before the day ended early. However, they have not yet been on during this day.

I don't want to analyze the deaths from the night, or look too closely at the posts of those dead people, because they were most likely killed by SCUM, and perhaps SCUM want us to do exactly that. I'm seeing three SCUM groups this round: Mafia, Cult, and SK. That means a tall task for the town since we are already down 3 members.

Both Germany and Italy had voted for NZ in the beginning. Germany had also voted for the Aus. Then there is the fact that all three (NZ, Aus and Mexico) voted for Germany.

We lost a townie and the cop. Which means there's another killer out there. Either SK or vig. Though I wouldn't leave it beyond Psy and qwerty to throw another killing faction in addition to the cult and the mafia.

Alright, time for me to defend myself I guess.

First off, my vote change wasn't at all suspicious. I had no good reason fro Australia, so as soon as Norway posted about Germany, I changed votes because he had an actual reason, where as I did not for Aussie.

Second, there were a number of other band wagoners to vote Germany.

Since simply defending myself wont' do much, I'm going to have to cast suspicion on someone. And that will be Norway.

I origianlly didn't want to say this, as it was a bit of a stretch, but I found it odd that Norway is the first to cast blame towards me for a vote I made because of him.

It seems more like he tried to bait someone to take a fall today, and that so happened to be me.

Mind you Isreal's "I'm voting on a random Hunch" isn't exactly the best move either, but I can't really see why Mafia would do that. So,

China, France, Israel, and Spain all did not vote. Lack of activity or voting only aids the scum. If one is pro-town, one has no reason to hide any ideas one has.

Who I suspect most, other than the inactives, is New Zealand. Germany's vote was against New Zealand. Italy also initially voted against New Zealand. New Zealand switched votes from Australia to Germany.

IT's basically this, "Do you want to take a chance at killing a Mafia"

Just because "[you're] a serial killer" doesn't mean you know who is mafia and who isn't mafia. So you can't say you'll make a town-favorable kill tonight. If you are a serial killer, then it only makes sense to lynch you.

Of course it does Korea. This will give town a Night Kill for one night, something that normally only a Vigilante could do.

And think, if I claimed Vigilante already, what grounds to I have to stand on? "I killed a cop/townie!" last night. ^_^ Not very believable.

Roleclaim Cop? Since one died, and we know psy has a thing against cops, who's going to believe that? Plus results I give will just be a lie anyway, as I'm not a cop.

No one was protected, so Doctor isn't a good claim to make either.

NZ I think you still had a chance without that rollclaim. But to think we would let you live another day just so you can make a kill 'for the town' is silly. Chances are the lynch we would make for today would be town and your next kill would be town. I'd much rather have a scum out of the way.

NZ could be lying but one thing for sure is that they aren't really helping the town. So this is an easy decision.

Well, additional voting gets the game moving which makes it more fun overall imo.

But if you guys want to wait out the final votes to get more discussion in then go for it.

China really hasn't done anything. Could be laying low. If the mafia have learned anything from the past games, it's that posting too much is just gonna get them in trouble. Usually there's at least one mafia member laying low, and I'm thinking that they may be utilizing the "lay low" tactic a bit more this time around.

I agree. Anyone not discussing or bringing up ideas is going to cause problems later on. It also bothered me that China peeked into the thread after the last deadline was set and "went to bed" without voting.

Spain has not voted yet and did not on Day 1, either.

Canada voted for Mexico on Day 1. Canada is now confirmed pro-town.

I also suspect Russia, South Korea, and Japan for lone voting. Nothing against any of you guys, really, but members of mafia have been historically known in past games to stay out of the main voting.

I'm not going to vote for NZ because I want to see more discussion, and I don't feel like casting one of the last votes two days in a row, I feel that would portray me in a bad light.

My guess is Norway might be on to something with the non-posters, but obviously there's no way to be sure. But also Germany's suspicion of UK and Canada's vote for Mexico shouldn't have implications toward whether UK and Mexico are actually Mafia, because remember that the Town don't know who other Town are, so UK and Mexico could just be acting suspicious. Again, no way to be sure at this point.

Day two is only slightly better than day one. I still don't think we have anything to go on really, though obviously NZ's claim of SK made our lynch decision for today a bit easier.

Having said all that, I have to vote for someone or else you'll all wrongly suspect me. Problem is I have virtually nothing to go on, no real suspicions, and don't want to vote for NZ as stated above. So I really have no good options, so I'll just go with Norway and vote Russia off of inactivity.

Edit: Okay, I lie. I'm going to go out, get me some dinner, and When I get back, my country had better lie in ruins.

Edit2: Alright, no one is discussing anything, so I think it's time I really do come clean.

No, I'm not a Serial Killer. If I claimed my real role, a Bullet Proof Townie, I'd have no leg to stand on. I mean I was desperate and about to get lynched, so I at least tried to get a mafia lynched instead of myself.

However, that plan failed horribly, and I didn't think It would do me any good to say something about this role.

The Idea was to get lynched as a bullet proof townie, so I could laugh at you all later, or at least after it was obvious I was going to get lynched that became the plan.

But we are making no headway, so I might as well be honest for once.

The reason I didn't say anythng earlier, is who would believe that I'm a bullet proof townie, even though it doesn't seem like I would be a target for anyone?

Until I see how Mexico votes, I think I am going to vote for Mexico. My logic is as follows. We know that one of the kills was done by Mafia, the other by some other killing faction. The two cases we have are: Germany and Canada. In my eyes, I am viewing the extreme amount to votes for Germany and NZ as partly Mafia resulted. (I do not include NZ in my suspicions since it seems that he is about to be lynched). Returning to that. If you run by the two voting list you get the following similarities: Pakistan, UK, Australia, USA and South Africa. Of these, I only had past suspicions on Austrlia. As for Canada, Canada had voted for Mexico as well as Mexico had voted for Germany. Was it because of Canada's vote that he got killed? Assuming Mexico is Mafia, then their vote for Germany can be seen as trying to get rid of another Townie.

To me, I have more suspicion towards Mexico since it makes more factual sense. So until I see if Mexico votes or not, I will vote for Mexico. Depending on how his voting pattern holds, my suspicions will either remain or disappear.

Nani? I still don't get your plan. You claim to be a SK in order to avoid lynching and get a mafia lynched instead when we have no idea who might or might not be mafia? That plan doesn't make any sense to me. If you role claimed Bullet Proof Townie people might of believed you and you might have gotten spared. I mean a Bullet Proof Townie is invaluable to the town. But claiming to be scum to avoid a lynching to get other scum lynched instead? I don't really buy it New Zealand.

Though I personally don't have much to add, as I just got home for the first time day and only really had time to look over the thread once. I do kind of want the day to last the full time so everyone has time to say what they want to say though, and NZ is going to die whether I vote for them or not. Though I don't think people will really take this time to say anything, you never know unless you actually give them that time.

I also don't have anything to go on at all except the inactivity thing, which really isn't a good reason to vote for someone, because there could be plenty of reasons for lack of posts; some things are more important than a Mafia game.

As for anyone that suspects me because I voted for Germany, it was really a shot in the dark, and it was wrong. I was seriously thinking of changing it but (1) He would of been lynched anyway and (2) I didn't get back on before the day ended after my last post, so I didn't get a chance to, not that I had a good idea of who to change it to anyway, but I really hated the reasoning for the vote.

So I may end up voting for NZ simply because he's going to die anyway, and his whole plan and reasoning was kind of weird and didn't make much sense to me, personally. And there isn't any way to find if he's telling the truth. But we'll find out soon anyway.

Who would believe Bullet proof townie?

I mean there was no reason to believe that people who were targeted didn't die. WE have a Cult Faction, a Mafia faction, and possibly one more.

I simply went with what I could get people to believe, and hope that a Vigilante was in play, so that when I was told who to kill, the Vigilante could do it in my place. That way it wouldn't look bad on him.

Claiming Bullet Proof wouldn't have accomplished anything, even if it is true. I was hoping that the extra day would give me time to formulate some sort of reason to get you all to beleive me, but that isn't going to happen now.\\

Edit: Paki, I got nervous and jumped the gun. Sorry, I'm new at this and couldn't keep my nervousness from taking over. I did make some irrational decisions here, but I still don't think claiming Bulletproof would have saved me.

A bullet proof can only be lynched, having one is nice for town side because it means we have one guy who the mafia and killers can't gank in the night.I wanna wait before I vote though to get the full time for discussion. Besides I need time to look over all the post while I was away and reform some ideas I had on certain people.

Edit: Oh and I agree with Pakistan-dono. You sure are making this interesting, a roleclaim on day 2! Last game took us till the curtain was about to fall to have roleclaims happen.

Maybe it is a sign of my naivity or the fact that I sympathize with the fact that you were unable to be inactive. I agree with Mexico that inactivity is a pretty lame reason to vote. I mean, there is a chance that it could be a gaming strategy then again stuff comes up in life.

For now Mexico's reason seems legitamite to me, though I could just be a foolish little sheep being manipulated. I am going to fall back on my other suspicion.

Alright. So here are my thoughts:

New Zealand is either a very very bad player, or he* is scum. Role claim made no sense, explaination for role claim made no sense, none of it makes sense.
I'd be willing to hold off on lynching New Zealand for now only because at least we have something on him. By that I mean at least he's given a sense of where he may be aligned and it's something for the detective roles to look into.
Inactive players - we have nothing on them. We don't know where they may be aligned and the inactive people are less likely to be investigated by the cops allowing them to go on longer in the game. A silent mafia member in the day and deadly one in the night is really bad for us. Silent but deadly, like a fart.
If NZ is scum, we'll find out soon enough. The inactive people are the ones who worry me more. Yes, it could be real life things that get in the way, but out of sight - out of mind holds true. It's something to consider.

* I'll be referring to everyone in this game as "he" just cause it's easier that way.

If your willing to hold off, any chance you could unvote me now? I'm getting kinda nervous now.

See how productive we've gotten since we didn't vote New Zealand off right away? :D I don't think I'm the only one confused about all this roleclaiming though. Claiming serial killer and begging to live just one more day doesn't really compute with being a townie or any kind. Even if that worked we would have lynched you tomorrow. Why did you want that last day so bad?

Iraq, I understand if you've been busy and can't thoroughly read the thread right now, but could you at least read the post that you're basing your vote off of?

As I mentioned before, I got really nervous and jumped the gun. I was thinking I may have a chance to prove my own innocence tomorrow, but now that I think about it, how the hell was I going to pull that one off?

It was a half assed plan put together when it looked like I was going to die.

I really need more practice at this game. :(

Well, the day is almost over and so I think I'll just go ahead and vote for New Zealand. I'm really sorry, it's nothing personal, I just don't have enough suspicions for anyone else, and you're going to get lynched at this point anyway because there isn't enough time to get everyone to change their votes.

And the last time I went off something really stupid we killed a townie, which is why I hate voting without good reason. So I don't want to randomly vote for another person until I have good enough reason to. Hopefully I do during the next day.

I still hope for this day to last till the very end though, just in hope for the last 2 hours or so to be used for conversation. But I kind of have other things to do and if I don't vote now, I may not be able to.

The delegate from New Zealand was screaming "Just one more night, then kill me!" But Kofi had enough. He ordered the destruction of New Zealand. A single nuke with the words made in China was dropped on the island. The blast set off the enormous stockpile of nukes that New Zealand secretly stolen from everyone else. The entire island was blown off the face of the earth, the only thing remaining was a radioactive smoldering rock.

New Zealand was the Serial Killer, nice try NeoCracker, and thanks for playing!

No point in reproducing vote count.

Night actions! Go!

The early warning signals sounded in Britain. The nuclear bomb would fall and there was nothing they could do.

Psychotic, EoFF's most handsome Cid's Knight and hero of the people, made one last post on Eyes on Final Fantasy.

There'll always be an England
while there's a country lane
Wherever there's a cottage small
besides a field of grain

There'll always be an England
where there's a busy street
Wherever there's a turning wheel
A million marching feet

There'll always be an England
and England shall be free
if England means as much to you
as England means to me.

He then left to go onto the tallest hill nearby with a tennis racket. He estimated where south-east was. His target would be France. England would live on.

And the bomb fell, and Psychotic hit it with all of his might, sending it across the English channel. Unfortunately, the legendary Psychotic was known to the foreign buggers, and they also sent a bomb to hit a mile away. Darn you!

United Kingdom, Scrambler, was unfortunately nuked on Night Two. Thanks for joining us, ~*~Celes~*~!

Oh yeah and the nuke that Psychotic hit into France? Well:

France, Vanilla Town, was Psychotic'd on Night Two. Au Revoir, Jess.

So, what is a Scrambler?

When the Scrambler dies, everyone gets a new role of the same alignment. The same roles are still in play, but different people have them!

Expect a PM shortly.

Day Three officially begins now!

24 hours, 9 to lynch. 6 PM GMT, 26 February.

And because some of you don't seem to understand this: Everybody has the same alignment. The mafia are still mafia. The town are still town. The cult is still cult. This isn't Day One all over again! Sheesh!

Right, okay I have important news you must read.

Do not under any smurfing circumstances kill me.
This is why.

I am the Bomb. Why did I tell you this? because I can assure you that if you kill me tonight two townies will die and that will mean you have lost.
You MUST kill a mafia my previous role granted me an insight on our situation.
Judging by the two killings you need to find a mafia or a vigilante, if you kill me that will be a total of FOUR deaths. The outcome? Game over.

You MUST believe me on this.
