I got around five right and then started missing them all. I didn't even know what half the options meant  I have failed words and the alphabet and the whole world.

I donated 500 peaces of rice... then I stopped. Now I can feed people AND stroke my ego!

I'm feeding the world with my brilliance!

EDIT: They have 1120 grains of rice now! From me that is.

I went up to 2000, maybe I'll continue later.

This is a nice idea. Let's just hope it's not a fraud.

What's with their tapeworm fetish?

2020 grains before I stopped.

What's people's highest vocabulary level? I've got 46. (But am finishing on 42 xD)

Rantz

I only got 37, but I'm pretty satisfied with that, not being a native English speaker and all.

I was referred to this little charitable game by a colleague on the business network, LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com). That site generates revenue based on the number of impressions those advertisements get, so don't feel obligated to click on the advertisements, too, if you think that they're not getting their rice or something.

32 or 33. But then I was concentrating on my Business more. Yes, that is an adequate excuse...

I've played this a little before (whenever sakura reminds me xD) and I always averaged about 39-40

Quindiana Jones
02-26-2008, 09:26 PM
Around 36/37 was my average. Highest was 41. Most of the hard ones I just used common sense on, and it turned out right. :D

Got bored at 1680.

Cz

This is great. Donated 1680 grains of rice, at a vocab level of 42. I'll probably come back later, since I like stretching my vocabulary.

EDIT: 44 now, with another 400 grains donated. That's probably my limit, but as long as it keeps donating rice I might as well go for it. xD

OH GOD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME THIS IS TOO FUN

Ouch!
02-26-2008, 10:44 PM
I did this a couple months back. Stopped at about 3,000 grains of rice. It was only ten grains of rice per win back then. D=

Tavrobel
02-26-2008, 10:49 PM
I stopped at a couple thousand, with the max skill level. After a certain point, my sister and I started cheating and used dictionaries to get a couple more thousand, making it a competition between the two of us as to who knew more words. I won, of course!

You have now donated
2560 grains of rice. ^__^

40 for me. I gave up after around 1000. It's so hard to get your score back up when you lose a point though!

Jess
02-27-2008, 02:27 PM
I donated around 1000 grains before stopping. I like it. You're improving your vocabulary whilst doing something good for others at the same time. I'll definitely do it again. :jess:

Played this several months ago and had a score that was generally in the high 30s or low 40s with a bit of luck. Donated a lot of grains of rice over the course of about a week but then I never went back. *bookmarks*

I got up to 41...

and then went way way waaay down. Still playing, only up to 340

Why don't they just give the rice to the starving people anyway, instead of playing this sick SICK game.

I was there, contributing rice on the second or third day it was set up. Back then it was only 10 rice a day.

Ive got to level 50 before.

As you can no doubt tell by my conduct on these forums, I don't read FAQs. Hell, I can't even spell FAQ!

That's funnier when I say it. :(

lolol

I got up to 2020 and level 46 today. I managed to stay in the mid 40s for a while and was surprised by the easiness of some of the words, then I slipped back down to low forties and decided to call it quits

sussurus isn't that hard a word! just if you're spelling it

I'm studying for the GRE right now and lot of the words on the "hot list" to show up on my test are on the site as well. What an entertaining way to study. :)

Here's a fun one that I got: hemidemisemiquaver
