Okay, I had some trouble with my WiFi router. Namely - I can't connect my DS Lite! I used this tutorial (http://forums.qj.net/f-wii-general-108/t-tutorial-using-datels-pspds-wifimax-with-your-wii-as-requested-by-victor-b-90253.html), yet the only thing my DS says is:

Error Code: 5200
Unable to obtain an IP address. Move within range of the access point or check DHCP settings. For help, visit NintendoWIFI.com (http://www.nintendowifi.com)
Can anyone help me? I know practically nothing about Internet connection and stuff, so if could anyone could me a detailed tutorial, I'd be grateful.

NOTE: I'm using Windows XP Professional and a laptop (though I don't know if that matters, because it's connected in the same way my PC is).

Do you know the make and model of the router?

It's called WiFiMax and it says on the back: 802.11g WLAN Compact USB Adapter, Model No.: WL-685Z. Is that it?

not the dongle, the thing that gives you your internet that your laptop and computer are connected through somehow.

Motorola SB4200 SURFboard Cable Modem

On the bottom it says: SURFboard Model: SB4200i.

I'm an Internet dummy...

That modem does not seem to be a wireless router, so that is probably why it cannot give your ds an IP address.

Great, so what now?

you go internetless on your ds or buy a wireless routerxD

that is, unless dses have ethernet or usb ports, which I don't think they do xD

I fixed the problem myself, though I won't tell you how, 'cause then I'd look really stupid. Anyway, thanks for your help :D Please close this thread.
