I'm glad people are enjoying it despite the maddening glitches that are popping up. The worst part is I never ran into any of this when I did my testing, but then again, that's why they call it "black box" testing, as you'll never predict how a user might interact with the program.

Last Oath and Dr Unne also do not have pictures.
They didn't have any avatars specified so I used a blank, 1x1 transparent pixel image for their pictures.

You can't use the one EVERYONE associates with Unne?

Plus, if Oath doesn't have an avatar, just replace him for someone else.

Also, we need an spdude enemy, hard. I'm sure everyone around here wants to smite him.

You're third class hits 2 after you talk to BoBo and give him 3 Crossblades. Since he'll only talk to you agter doing the Doc France one.

No. It took me about 700 enemies before I found a Crossblades, as a Pirate/Gypsy, and all in the Dark Tower.

You can get other items by gambling, but it's the only place where you can get the Ornamental Items. There are no extra items in hard mode.

I don't get this. If I even consider fighting anyone, I die in three or four turns. Running works - until it fails twice in a row and I'm dead anyway.

:edit: Of course, the minute I say that, I encounter an opponent with minimal strength who dies from one hit. Figures:p

A question for the experienced players... what are the options for regaining Life? I'm currently galavanting around with Life 1 (out of a maximum of 5 or so) and it's not a lot of fun. I found a guy in some town who can heal me, but only in exchange for cash - which I don't have enough of.

There aren't. You just simply have to train up enough so that when you win battles, you'll automatically gain life, assuming that you don't get hit for massive amounts of damage. There is no maximum life, only a current life. If you started with 5, and now you're down to one, that'd be where you are.

If you can, keep all the items you pick up after a battle, and make runs back to the town whenever possible to sell the items. This should expedite your level-gaining process until you can cream through all of the monsters. Save, and save frequently. If you have to, just save after every fight you win; chances are if you think you're going to lose, you are.

Personally I went with a money-making build --> Pirate first. Perhaps a Gypsy for the increased inventory size. Don't do Merchant; you can't buy anything yet anyways.

Once you get strong enough it's easy to slaughter all of the weaker people on the overworld map to get life points up =)

Finished the game, and it's damned addictive. I'm currently trying to find Crossblades to give to BoB, and I need one more War Angel to get the final item special item.

Can't figure out what Ryes are for, though...

Where do you fine crossblades again. I thought they were in the cave you unlock after killing cid, but I guess I'm wrong. I spent maybe 200 turns there as a pirate as my second trade and nothing.

Some people don't have avatars so they are "blank" in the game.

For anyone that wants to try and get him to talk to you, the following requirements must be met:

Have at least 1000 strength, magic, agility and life
Find at least 95% of enemies, items and spells
Be a demigod

That's because she only recognizes every 10 kills. Every ten times wrap around, so if you kill TUH more than ten times, you've wasted kills.

I got to Demigod and saved it 5 times then exited just logged in to reincarnate my character and it put me back as a merchant and iv lost over 1000 agility and 1000 life...

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know why the save system is buggy, but it is acting up. When I clean up the game for the "real" 5.0 release, I'm planning on rewriting the save functionality to try and make it more robust.

Also, I'm guessing you figured out how to become a Demigod.

As of right now, no. I might include the bosses in the enemies defeated list in the future.

"Best" is relevant but they do sell some of the best equipment available in shops, just as long as you're good or evil to be able to access them.

I only tested in Firefox and IE. If you can figure out how to check the javascript errors in Safari and can send them to me, that would be great.
