Well? Which ones?

*Poll in production*

I find the original NES versions to be the best.

Amano's art was the basis for Final Fantasy's sprites, not the other way around, as with the American Zelda guy.
I wasn't even saying that basing art on sprites is inherently a doomed venture--just that American Zelda guy had no idea how to make it look good.

When I was young, I mistook the brooches/necklaces/whatever-that-is-around-their-necks to be their gaping mouths. To this day, I cannot unsee it, and so it humors me immensely.

Everything is best in the original, including the Wizzrobes. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g246/KenYocin/Wizzrobe-RedFront.gif

A Link to the Past's. But I'm partial to that game, anyway.

I actually like the ones from Phantom Hourglass, because they carried huge Scythes, and were like, scary.

But I do love the classic... and LttP... heck, I love em all

LttP was awesome and yet I totally hated them in the sand dungeon.

If you ask me, it seemed like a pretty good attempt. I honestly can't imagine them looking much different, with the exception of the sleeves, which should not be mistakable for ears.

I wanna say the original NES one because they're dancing.. but in all seriousness I find the one from Wind Waker to be "the bestest".

Why? They may have had cool voices, and they did do Circle Dances in the air, but they were Tucans of all things! :mad2:

I like the first Wizzrobe from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Does anyone else think that their design is reminiscent of black mages from the Final Fantasy series?

I've always quite liked the designs of them whilst on the GBA/GBC. I'd probably hesitate to say they were my favourites, but definitely honourable mentions. As for my favourite, gotta go with the original ones. Although they weren't in the first Zelda game I played, they're certainly what I think of when someone mentions Wizzrobes.

You cant go wrong with the NES wizzies.

I'm surprised at how many call them "THE" NES Wizzrobes, when there are two different designs for the Wizzrobes that appeared on the NES.

But of course, since Zelda 2 isn't very popular nowadays when compared to the original, I guess it's pretty easy to assume the one they mean is the one that dances in my avatar.
