I started playing both the NES translation and the PSP version of the game, and personally, i can't decide which one to play. What do you guys think I do?

I would say to get the PSP version, because of the fact that in that version, stats dont decrease when you're focusing on raising a certain one. However, if you want a challenge, then play the NES version

Neither. The best version of the game is the PlayStation remake.

NES, it adds difficulty to it

I thought the PSP version had all that was in the PSX remake, plus the Soul of Rebirth dungeons (mediocre, you said) and revised graphics. Why's the PSX remake better in your opinion? (I need to choose what to play for the April month challenges :p )

The main reason is that the PSP version's graphics are as ugly as sin.
Dawn of Souls xD
Seriously though, most people hate this game no matter how you play it. Pick whichever one seems easiest on your sanity and make a valiant attempt

I appreciate that it gave way to the PlayStation version, but by itself? No, not so much, Allison.

Hummm, I liked a lot the FF I PSP graphics, so I think I'm gonna like this one, but... with a grain of salt.

Out of the original three games, II was the only one that really lent itself to a remake in my opinion. Play the NES version if you absolutely MUST have the NES flavor... But the upgrades (graphics, addition of cutscenes, better gameplay balance) mades to the PSP version will do a better job of drawing you into the game.

Only did GBA and PSP ones, so PSP FTW!
