Does anyone have, or know where to find a map of Ivalice from Tactics showing the names of all the locations? I've found a map showing all the locations without the names, and one map showing the names but not all locations. And I cannot find my memory card with my most complete save file, so I cannot check them myself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I don't think that's really doable with the size of the picture. And besides, you basically put the towns and places anywhere you want, unless you want to do all of that treasure hunt stuff.

Might I ask why you need it?

Of course it's doable. Anything is doable with Photoshop.

And I need a map with the names because I'm helping a friend set up a FFT roleplay in his forum, and he asked me to make him a map of Ivalice with all the locations you can visit in the game.

I suppose that depends on if he is looking for one for Tactics, or Tactics Advance (or, though I doubt it TA-2). It might also be wise to clarify if it is Tactics, to say which translation (PS1 or PSP release)

This is a scan from the back of the original FFT strategy guide.

I made a crude homemade map with all the locations. Do you want that?

If it was for Tactics Advance, I would have said "Tactics Advance", not just "Tactics". We were looking for the PSX release, since neither of us has played the PSP version.

BG-57: I already have a map of Ivalice, complete with dots marking the locations. It's just the locations' names I'm missing. Some I can identify about half of them by memory and place the name of the map accordingly, but for the others, even if I was given the name of the location, I couldn't place it on the map even if it meant my life.

Can you post the map you have then? I can help you complete it.

Can you post the crude, handmade map? It is nice to see those types of things from the likes of fans like you.

Sure. Hope you don't have to squint too much. :p

Thank you for the map. I am sure that it will make a lovely background on an instant message window in Windows Live Messenger. Why do I say that? I record voice clips over Windows Live Messenger that occasionally take the form of various Final Fantasy Tactics clips, and, if there was a corresponding flash animation, the characters would be hand drawn like that map.

I've searched extensively online for this and I don't believe one exists, which is strange. I hope somebody creates it. It's a pretty easy job, not sure why one isn't out. Hopefully somebody can make a great one and put it on Gamefaqs. By the way I don't think there is a labeled world map in the new strategy guide, is there one for the original PS 1 FF Tactics strategy guide?

If I had known that I would've made a newer and better version. :p I'm flattered all the same.

No, and I have all three versions of the FFT strategy guide (Original, Greatest Hits, and WotL). There's a small world map on the back cover of the original with the seven countries of Ivalice in English, but no individual town/dungeon locations.

EDIT: I found a good scan and added in the place names using Paint. I added the URL source.

EDIT2: I found a map of the WotL version with place names already added in. I modified it by adding the URL source.

Whoa! That's great that somebody made a couple maps. The first one is hard to read the text since there is so much text and the second one has some inaccurate place names, I think both of the images should be resized and made bigger, but this is nice! Hehe, I'm almost done with FF Tactics for PSP though.

I'm 72 hours into it and may finish at 85 hours, not sure. I don't want to get a 100% completion rate on this because that will take too long and I don't want to skip all sidequests because that will be too short. I'll finish the most important sidequests for me. I have all jobs unlocked although for Onion Knight I don't have the great version of it, that will take too much work. I only have some jobs mastered, and some others have only the most important skills achieved. I have three physical people and two magic people I use. I did all the sidequests except for the one that occurs on the first day of Cancer and requires $500,000. I am going to beat Midlight's Deep Dungeon and then the final six missions. I'm skipping these activities: Melee missions, Rendezvous missions, Poaching, and Errands.

It appears that game lasts from 50 to 130 hours depending on how much sidequests you do, it's lengthy! The game is incredible! :)!!! My 6th favorite game!

I'm responsible for the text in the first map; I didn't want to make the print too small. The second map was someone else's doing. Hope they can be helpful.

I spent well over 100 hours mastering the PSX version so I imagine it'll take much longer in the PSP version. Simply beating the game will take a lot less time of course.

Great work! I'm 79 hours into it and I'll be done in under 5 hours. I need to do these things...

1. Test out Byblos in atleast one battle(just got him)
2. Play the last floor of Midlight's Deep Dungeon again to get the rare items there
3. Teach Zodiark to my other of my two Summoners(should have learned it for both of them from Eldibus!)
4. Learn Ultima spell for Ramza
5. Play the final 6 missions at Orbonne Monastery to finish the game.

I did all the side quests except for the one where you have to wait for the first day of Cancer and need $500,000. I beat Midlight's Deep Dungeon(need to get items on last floor though). I unlocked all jobs(except final version of Onion Knight) and mastered many of them and got a lot of experience on all of the other ones. I have 3 physical attackers and 2 magical attackers I use. My levels are 99, 99, 99, 97, and 96 right now for my five main characters. I'm 79 hours into it, will finish in under 5 hours.

I'm skipping these sidequests: Melee, Rendezvous, Poaching, and Errands. This game was a 10/10! It's one of my very favorite games!! Great! :)
