Any rituals you have playing FF?

This goes for all Final Fantasy's really but does anyone have things they like to do, eat, drink or listen to when playing FF? Apart from the game itself...me myself personally like to have a smoke from time to time...as its turn based i dont need to worry about being quick :D like most other games...

PS. When i say smoke i mean cigarettes lol...

I have a habit of reading during turn based versions, or standing during ATB or a similar system. Might have something to do with the fact the telly is really high and an LCD, stupid screen

lol i only play tactics advanced when i'm at meetings at work lol they think 'm taking notes on a blackberry or something!

I always play in my room, often with a plate of food or something next to me and a bottle of water, the toilet's across the hallway from my room so I pretty much don't have to leave my room for hours. (Time flies when I play a good game).

If I'm in a part that I can't save and I can't be bothered going to a place that I can save in/finding a save point, I just turn off the TV and leave the PS2 running while I go do something else.

Usually, when I get a new FF game; I'll eagerly go to my room with some food and drink and sit there for hours playing it. After a couple of hours of getting to know the controls, I'll restart the game when I know how to get through it better. >_>

I did that with FFXII.

In XII, i have specific sections Ivalice that have their own music to me. Garamsyth waterway=Dangerous Muse, Desert=Marilyn Manson, Pharos=Mindless self indulgence. The list goes on...;-)

I love to have some soda and snacks while playing as I prefer to only sit down with an FF when I can sit for seveal hours.

When I'm grinding a well-known game, I've started surfing the net whie doing so. It makes much more tolerable.

And I sing the Camelot song from Spamalot when summoning KotR. :D

No, I don't do a certain regular thing. Well, I suppose with FF8 I'll try and have food close to hand when doing Ultimecia's Castle as, for some reason, that place makes my throat burn. Other than that it's just another gaming session. If I'm hungry I'll pause and grab food, if I need the toilet I'll leave the room.
