Yesterday I watched 101 Dalmatians for the first time in years! I haven't watched it since I was a pup, and I didn't remember that it's such a cute movie; I cried a little. As a result, last night I dreamt that I found ninety-nine puppies!

Ah, I loved that movie when I was a kid. Brings back good memories.

Am I terrible for preferring the live action version?

Nope! I like it a lot, too.

I like 101 Dalmatians. I haven't watched it in ages. I may have to watch it tonight at some point.

I also like the live action one. :D

Are any of the sequels any good? I feel that this is an obvious no, but if anyone's seen them...?

A sequel to this which is called 105 dalmatians rocks so much.

The Platinum Edition has some nice behind-the-scenes material although I wouldn't have minded seeing a bit more. The restoration of the film itself looks quite good too.

As for the film, it's quite alright. It has family dynamic which is rare in Disney films (because you don't often see both mother and father). The animation is quite relaxed and interesting as can be seen from the funky opening titles sequence. Cruella is animated well and practically steals every scene she's in and is one of Disney's most memorable villains. Music isn't bad either, and it supports the narrative quite well.

I probably wouldn't put 101 Dalmatians to my Top 10 Disney Classics list, but it's quite good nevertheless and worth watching. :)

Yeah! Cruella is so ugly, creepy, and heartless; she's the ugliest and evilest Disney villain I can think of. =O

I've never been a fan of it. I'm mostly drawn to the princess stories.

I was never a huge fan when I was a tot. I've completely forgotten it at this point though. Maybe I should give it another go and suck in that Disney goodness.

On my DVD I just watched Selena Gomez's music video for her version of Cruella de Vil; it's even worse than Ashley Tisdale's version of Kiss the Girl.

Ew. Out of curiosity I had to watch the Kiss the Girl one. :( I wish I hadn't. Why do they ruin these songs? :(

There's no such thing as playing Disney's animated classics on TV where I live. I only know of the song and the fact that some guy had a big nose
