After about a day's worth of solid C#-based coding, I've managed to create the basic shell for our end-of-year project. It's a blatant rip-off of Klax, but hey ho it's still an achievement and a half. Still have to figure out how to eliminate blocks on the grid and deal with when then grid fills up (may cop out and have the whole program either quit or reset), but I'm well on the way to formulating a way of doing just that.

What have you managed to achieve recently within a short space of time?

UPDATE: Now everything works, I've officially managed to code a Klax clone in less than 24 hours. ^_^

I managed to make it through a whole day at work without asking a 'coach' for help.

And also make an asshole of myself, within ten minutes. :p (thanks vodka and lager!)

Also, I managed to type this stone drunk, without glasses. I'm the man! :D

Where are my glasses, by the way?

All my coursework. I really don't know how I managed to hand them in on due dates but when I put my mind to something I get it done. I wrote an essay draft on evacuation that was meant to be 900 words (but was alot over) in about 25 minutes in registration period, it had to be handed in next lesson.

Make me the final boss!

Anyway, a recent achievement of mine is in the process of being completed.

Edit: YES! I posted!

I have sobered up in 1.5 hours.

My mum can manage the same exact feat in 10 seconds. She is epic. :D

Congrats on doing whatever advanced thing you just said, Maxx!

Umm~! Hm... I managed to watch an entire season of a show in about 3 seconds. It was a flurry of flurryness.

I've pretty much mastered particle effects in After Effects with Particular. The latest thing I did was recreate the light streams from the old iPod Nano ads as an experiment. Next, when I get chance, I shall add it to live footage and have it swirl around people.
