Does a FF character have the same or a very similar name to you or a friend?

A nickname I've had for a very long time, before FF:AC, is Loz :D I call myself Lozzy more often now, but still :p

I also share my surname with Eiko (FFIX) but mine uses the Gaelic spelling~

And I have a friend called Cindy (The Magnus Sisters).

That's all I can think of at the moment - anybody else?

Ah cool - a Vincent!
I know there's a lot of Vincent's, Cid's... and stuff :D

...my name rhymes with Auron, as well. But I don't think that should count... :p

I remember reading in EGM years ago about a guy who named his new daughter "Rinoa."

I think Rinoa's a gorgeous name, myself. And it doesn't attract as much attention as Sephiroth :D

I know a girl called Vivi, but I guess that's about it. Vivi is actually a somewhat common girl's name in Denmark.

Vivi would just be short for Vivian, which is why I found it amusing that Vivi in FFIX was male.

I have a sister named Marie, but then Maria and its variants are perfectly common.

I work with a Guy every other Saturday morning.

I've met a couple of Vincents (usually Vinces anyway) and Sids before.

Also Cecil, Kain (with many, many spelling variants), Rosa and Lulu (my other sister's called Lucy) are all "actual" names, and I'm almost 100% certain I've met a Locke before.

Side note: Faris is also an "actual" name. It's a boy's name, which makes sense anyway as Faris initially disguises herself as a man.

I knew a Cecil, a Rose (close enough to Rosa), a Titus (close enough to Tidus), and a Gus.

Back in Middle School, I used to know an albanian girl named Yuna. This was years before FF X was released

I've known a couple of Celes' and Rosa's in my life. Celes comes from Celeste and most people down in Texas name their kid Rosa instead of Rose.
