We need a thread to discuss what foods that don't seem like they should go together actually taste great together!

C-c-c-c-counter thread hijack creation thingy.

I planned on a good food thread in any case! So, food. What's your favorite recipes and creations? Favorite dining place? What experiences have you had in food lately?

Yes, let's take a edible adventure together...

That looks delicious. If you give me some, I'll forgive you for calling young ginger Albus Dumbledore and his man Napoleon Dynamite. <3

Chicken, Salami, and Pickle wrap. Seriously guys, it's delicious. Om nom nom nom! :kaohappy:

Dumbledore from Harry Potter Dumbledore? I heard he was gay.

I'll just slide some of those to you right through the tubes... :cookie:

Chicken and salami don't sound bad together at all but pickle wrap?

What's your favorite recipes and creations?
Mine - Mac and cheese, because I can actually make it.
My mom's - Meatloaf. (combination of crackers, ketchup, meat, and a bunch of other weird stuff, it's really good!)

Favorite dining place?
Steak and Shake. They have the best chicken and chili! And I LOVE their brownie desserts!!

What experiences have you had in food lately?
I make pizzas and sub sandwiches for a living. If you compare us to Subway I'll make you eat your own toe jam.

My boyfriend has some amazing dishes his mom taught him to make. His chicken broccoli casserole is one of the most amazing thing's I've ever eaten.

These foods don't seem like they would go together, but they do!

Vegemite and Avocado on toast. It's really good and both the flavours compliment each other really well, even though it doesn't seem like they would.

Chips in a sandwich. Yum!

Deep fried broccoli in batter is amazing...

And of course, deep fried mars bar.

As far as experiences in food go, I had an awful one this evening. I made falafel and couscous, and decided to try making a garlic sauce. Anyway, I put WAY too much garlic in it and it tasted AWFUL and really spicy... My boyfriend and I couldn't eat it it was THAT BAD.
