Mulan

Apparently they're making Mulan into a movie. Atfirst I was filled with joy until I read into it. They're not going to treat it seriously. It will probably turn into an artsy film with little or no epic value. And I believe that legend should only be made into a movie if it is portrayed in an epic fashion.

IMDB does have a page for an announced live action adaption. I'm not sure if that says much or not.

There are alot of movies/series based on Mulan. Sort of like all the movies about Joan of Arc

My mom loves Donny Osmond.

Disney's Mulan was pretty good. I'd like to see them do something different with the story though.

I'm guessing it'll be a generic action summer blockbuster where the only imaginative parts will be the fight choreography and cgi landscapes/backgrounds/sweeping vistas.

I'm guessing it'll be a generic action summer blockbuster where the only imaginative parts will be the fight choreography and cgi landscapes/backgrounds/sweeping vistas.That'll probably be true, unfortunately... though the written versions of the legend make for a pretty interesting exploration of gender, identity, freedom and loyalty - so they could give the film a philosophical angle if they want.
