black isnt a colour.. its a lack of reflecting photons.. a perfect absorber.. its not a colour because you cant see it.

White is as much a colour as purple.. its a spectrum of colours, holds all and therefore counts as one.

Science ain't everything. Defenitions depend on your perspective. Each view is valid: one from a scientific point, the other from an artistic point. However spiffy physics is, it isn't the primary concern of the artists who must consider black a colour in order to make it work for them.

Well to an artist, anything that changes the image they're working on is a color. Sometimes they'll start with all white, paint it all green, then paint white over it. White is therefore a color to work with. If they always started with black, and never painted with black it wouldn't be a color.

It's like dark is just the absence of light. Black is just the absence of color, which in itself can be considered a "color."

I've always liked blues and greens the most. Turquoise, steel blue, royal blue and various shades of both light and dark greens, I've always liked. Always rather liked brown as well. I wear a lot of brown clothes, but I suppose my hair is brown as well so it probably looks better to have them match like that.

When I was in kindergarten, my favorite color was black. I have documented proof of this, because we kept picture journals every day and I have written 'black' with 'my favorite color is black' written in by the teacher. Or something like that.

I think now it's violet though. Dark red violet, the color of sensuous passion.
