so im doing the lab report on when we disected worms and i dont know what
clitella, posterior, anterior, dorsal mean.....
please help:love:

Worms are hermaphrodites. Each worm has both male and female organs. Worms mate by joining their clitella (swollen area near the head of a mature worm) and exchanging sperm. Then each worm forms an egg capsule in its clitellum.
Posterior and Anterior

And dorsal is the top side of the worm.

what is a pharynx, esophagus, and gizzard?

esophagus is a pipe in your throat, and gizzard is a sack that some animals use to digest food mechanically, like with rocks instead of doing it chemically like humans with our stomach acid.

and the pharynx is the tubing that leads down the throat and to the digestive track (esophagus). I may have missed something, but I don't think the worm has anything that really resembles this. I believe the pharynx is a pressure duct and systematically makes sure the food is coted in saliva and other aids as it starts its trek downwards (or upwards if you live in Australia??)
In Bio2 we had to dissect three baby fetal pigs. I chose an IT profession after that.
