chips v. dip

Which do you inevitably run out of first?

I just now finished a bag of chips and a jar of salsa at almost the same time. It was difficult to figure out how to eat the last crumbs with the last dregs.

I run out of chips way before dip, and the fact that I like double dip and coat the chips in dip says something eh?

When I read this thread title I thought you were pitting chips against dip, which makes for a sad Mulley as these two wonderful delicacies should never be at odds with one another.

Usually chips, but that's because I like a thin layer of dip on my chip for taste.

In a proper chip/dip setup, the chip's focus is the texture while the dip's purpose is the flavor.

I don't eat chips with dip. I hardly eat chips. But english chips, I eat loads of and cover them in ketchup. :D

I think I normally run out of chips first. I don't normally take ginormous dippings so I tend to eat more chips than dips! :D

I dont ever really get dip, but if I get the cheese dip for fritos or something I usually run out of the dip first

spinach dip is pretty good. I was kinda iffy when i had it the first time but it was better than I could have expected :O

@Balzac: I'd much rather eat 'chips' (I'm referring to fries here in the US) over 'chips' (the thinly sliced potatoes). And when I do eat chips (the thinly sliced potatoes), I rarely if ever use dip, because I don't like the texture. Or the flavor.

I could sit and eat fries with ketchup for a long time and not get sick of them, though. :D
